Please note: The driveway is sloping and there is a partially fenced lake and stream, 100 yards away.. Set in beautiful surroundings at New Mills Trout Fishing Park, why not try your hand at fly fishing? The lake is home to rainbow, tiger, blue and brown trout – probably the true fisherman’s ideal holiday destination. For the novice, try your hand at the fun fishing pond and bag yourself that ’I’ve caught my first fish’ experience, with all tuition and equipment provided. Also on-site to enjoy are giant games including Connect 4 and chess alongside a Fairy Trail and pond dipping, or simply visit the children’s play park and tackle shop. The cottage is situated only 1 mile away from the picturesque market town of Brampton and further afield is the lovely city of Carlisle. Ullswater and the Northern Lakes are just over half an hour’s drive away. This is the ideal base for a holiday full of adventure and exploring, and no visit is complete without a visit to the famous Hadrian’s Wall. There are also lovely riverside walks close by. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
