About this property
GuestReady - Neoclassical-era Building in Lisbon
Welcome!
Just in front of the Ajuda Botanical Gardens, this private suite is situated in the basement level of a neoclassical building which has all of its original beauty and features preserved, but has all the modern comforts and necessities needed for a comfortable stay, especially when situated in one of the more quiet areas of Lisbon that isn't frequented by lots of tourists -- an extreme rarity in the city!
Accessed via a flight of stairs (mind your step!), the unit is comprised of a lounge area, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The unit is ideal for couples, solo travellers and backpackers alike who like to be near some of the hippest and most popular neighbourhoods like Alcântara and Bélem, yet desire somewhere quiet when retiring for the night.
In the longue, you'll find a sofa which can be converted into a bed for one extra guest, and a dining table for three. The kitchen is in the room next-door and comes fully equipped with all the necessities needed to cook up a home meal, including conveniences such as a microwave and a Nespresso machine (with free Nespresso pods at your disposal). The bedroom has a double-bed lined with hotel-quality bed sheets and linens, while a wall-mounted TV will keep you entertained while you're snuggled in for the night. There's also a clothing and storage rack in the unit for you to conveniently hide-away all your personal belongings
The bathroom has all the basics, including a walk-in shower. Fresh towels and toiletries are provided at no extra cost for your convenience.
Please be aware that the internet service may not be suitable for streaming or remote work activities.
Cleaning and sanitisation will be done before your anticipated arrival.
Enjoy!
Guests will have access to the entire home!

Ajuda is a hillside residential neighborhood overlooking the Tagus River. The vast, neoclassical Ajuda National Palace draws visitors with its opulent, period interiors. Views from the neighboring 18th-century botanical garden take in the 25 de Abril Bridge and the Christ the King monument across the river. Monsanto Forest Park has popular trails for jogging and bicycling, as well as a busy playground.
As one of the less-touristy areas, Ajuda is a tranquil neighbourhood - perfect for those who don't enjoy large crowds or loud noises found in nearby neighbourhoods of Belém and Alcântara - which is a rarity to find in this part of Lisbon. Furthermore, it's connected to Monsanto, which is a fantastic area for jogging and walking, and there is also some outdoor callisthenics equipment like pull-up bars located in the park.
You can get the 18 Tram from Rua Bica Marquês, however there are a number of bus stops dotted around the neighbourhood.
From either Belém or Alcântara (Alcântara-Mar station), it’s possible to get the train to nearby beaches like Carcavelos, Estoril, and Cascais as well as Cais do Sodré in the other direction. Alcântara-Terra, Alcântara’s other station, takes you to Oriente which is perfect for visiting Parque das Nações.
Services such as UBER and Bolt are available to download and use in Lisbon.
Note: The property is on the -1 floor.
This is a self check-in property and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. You can check-in anytime of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 EUR smoking fee, at minimum.
Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 10€ included.
