The evenings are alive with the local restaurants and bars, including the new ’Sankeys Champagne and Seafood Bar’ which is right on your doorstep. Daytime brings the more discerning shopper in search of the speciality shops on offer in this historic colonnaded parade and, if you are lucky (or organised) you could be here to witness one of the many festivals or farmers’ markets held throughout the year. On lazy weekends the tea rooms and restaurants spill out onto the pavements and it’s difficult to pass the selection of cream teas, pastries and wonderful snacks without being tempted! The birthplace of Royal Tunbridge Wells was originally based around the Chalybeate (pronounced Ka-lee-bee-at) Spring. Its name means ’iron rich’ and, at certain times of the year, one is able to sample some of this rich red water, as visitors have been doing for centuries. Smartly decorated and with the bedroom and sitting room both overlooking The Pantiles, this apartment will appeal to couples sharing or perhaps those looking for a romantic city break.
The apartment has been decorated in calm colours and pale hues and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The cosy sitting room of this self-catering apartment has a sofa and feature fireplace, as well as a high table with bar stools. Although you probably will be eating out with so many choices on your doorstep, there is a fantastic kitchen at your disposal.
The Lower Pantiles apartment is ideal for a cosy evening after a busy day exploring the countryside or enjoying the entertainment in Tunbridge Wells. The bedroom has a double bed with memory foam mattress and dark accessories which give the room a calm, executive feel.
All in all, this apartment in Tunbridge Wells has all the benefits of exploring the historic spa town on foot and if you have time, there is much to do in the surrounding countryside.
