Not as pictured
First of all it took me the whole drive to gain access to be able to download the key onto my phone, and then I was the only one that we were able to get it, so if I wasnt there we had to leave the back door open for the rest. We all agreed that the property is beauitful. But very overgrown with weeds, unkept flower beds , with means lots of bugs. The paddle boat was unusable, due to it being totally filled with water and sitting in the pond. No canoes as pictured. The screened in porch was a great idea, however ripped screens and the door to the bbq latch just fell off when we went to open it the first time. The pinball machine did not work. The cieling tiles in the basement most of them were hang by a thread. The only shower in the place was unusable due to the shower head aimed straight at the doorand was not adjustable. We all just used the one in the tub, which luckily did have a hand shower on it. We had no movie nights with our grandchildren, because it only worked on Chromecast, but the chromecast thing that plugs into the USB was dead, and no charger. I would reccomend the owner to seriously update his photos and fix all the things, otherwise this is a huge misrepresentation of this place, which looks like it used to be beautiful. Overall we made it work, Grand Bend is only 10 minutes away, and the kids had a good time.

Good secluded cottage
The place was overall fine and the interactions with the property owner was great as they were very responsive. Positives: Location-10 to 15 mins from Grand Bend Beach and from Pinery provincial park. Screened patio in the back was great as we could sit out at night and not get bitten alive by mosquitoes. Not so Positive Garbage was not cleared out from the previous group No/exremely limited pots and pans, we had to go and buy some while there Things to keep in mind: It says sleeps 20 but only has beds for 9 or 10, the rest need to sleep on air mattresses (which are provided). Seating for only 4 ppl around the breakfast/dinner table. You expect there to be more and the table to be bigger given the capacity they are advertising. Only 1 shower, we were a group of 15 so not ideal.

Nice view, comfortable stay
Spacious, bright, comfortable house. Plenty of bed linens and towels. The backyard and pond area is a little unkempt and doesn't look as gorgeous as you see in the photos. Front of the house is beautifully maintained though - beautiful trees and well manicured lawn. Kitchen is sparsely equipped. We had some senior with us and were struggling a bit with a leaky kettle, minimal pots and pans, no kitchen garbage bin, no serving dishes at all. Lots of plates, cups, glasses. Minimal cutlery. Small things that would have made a huge difference to the overall experience.

Short family getaway
Consider providing an instruction sheet with all the information pertaining to TV accessibility, thermostat, information about local amenities. One page sheet that would answer anybody’s questions upon arrival. The game room was fun, but the room was very cold,.
