With a roof terrace and views over the Taw/Torridge estuary, this quirky property lies close to the quayside, about 2½ miles from Westward Ho! beach. Complete with games room and parking.. Lower Ground Floor:

Set opposite the historic Grade II listed Richmond Dry Dock, it is believed have have originally been the premises for a prominent sail maker. Enjoying stunning views across the Torridge Estuary to Instow, it is a few minutes’ walk from Appledore’s quayside, shops, tea rooms, and restaurants. The South West Coast Path, which runs past the property, offers 90 miles of walks in North Devon alone and has amazing and dramatic coastal views.
Steps lead down from the front entrance into the main open plan living space, which has stunning views over the estuary; the bedrooms and family bathroom are also on this level. An additional shower room, accessed via the games room or garage, is found on the lower ground floor, perfectly located for use after a day’s surfing. A roof terrace, accessed via a set of internal stairs, offers superb views over Appledore.
The Boathouse lies just minutes from the waterside and an excellent variety of Appledore’s eateries, coffee shops and tea rooms. The quaint village streets are home to a range of cafés, pubs, boutique shops and galleries - great for simply wandering around and taking in the surroundings. Regular events held include the annual literary festival and gig racing. Live music events are held in the local pubs and in the social club next door to The Boathouse with a variety of events for all to enjoy.
Instow, across the water, can be reached by car or ferry and has a sandy, dog-friendly beach and a selection of pubs, restaurants as well as an excellent delicatessen. The historic port town of Bideford, 2 miles, offers a taste of traditional North Devon life with its weekly pannier market, as well as a large supermarket and high street.
