The impressive, well-equipped kitchen is a perfect area to prepare home cooked meals, with a breakfast bar and separate dining table. For cosy nights in by the fire the relaxing living room features a cosy wood burner taking centre stage. There is a ground floor double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room - just watch your footing as you enter through the original barn door! The first floor boasts a master bedroom with an open en-suite double shower room, an additional double bedroom and a family bathroom with high finish fittings. All beds are kingsize throughout and come with luxury pillows and duvets as standard. Outside is a large garden and sitting out area, perfect for taking in the magnificent view of the hills and beyond and birdwatching the rich bird life including lots of swallows in the summer. There is little ambient light at night so a full dark sky of stars can be viewed.
Close by are several charming pubs and also the quirky village of Cartmel, famed for its horse racing weekends, its sticky toffee pudding and its world-class, Michelin star restaurants. Newby Bridge, home to the Lakes Aquarium, Windermere Lake Cruises and the Haverthwaite steam train, is just 6½ miles away.
Cartmel Fell is perfectly situated to also explore Bowness-on-Windermere, and is in easy access to many popular towns within Cumbria including Ulverston with its quirky arts and crafts feel, Ambleside and Coniston. Just under 7 miles away is the traditional Victorian market town of Grange-over-Sands. This seaside town offers plenty for you to see and do, with an abundance of restaurants, cafés and boutique shops to explore.
