Located on a family owned, working, livestock and arable farm in the heart of the Norfolk Broads and close to the wonderful sandy beaches along the coast, tucked away in the heart of The Broads National Park, nestled in countryside. Walking and cycling can be enjoyed direct from the doorstep. An abundance of eating establishments, many located alongside the river are within 10 minutes’ drive. Acle, 3 miles, has no shortage of amenities, including a supermarket, butcher’s, a post office, hardware store, newsagent, restaurants, takeaways, cafés and pubs. The best way to take in the open views of wild marshes is to stretch your legs and make the most of a wonderful network of footpaths both above and below the bridge, including the Weavers Way long distance footpath. A circular walk along the River Bure to Upton and across the fields. Reedham is a riverside conservation village where the River Yare runs through, being a gateway to the miles of Norfolk Broads waterways and rich in wildlife and great fishing opportunities, having two great local pubs, one of which serves delicious food, alongside a café, fish and chip shop, and a railway station.
RSPB Strumpshaw Fen is 13 minutes’ drive or visit Wroxham, 11 miles, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, join a day trip or charter your own launch and wind along the waterways. From here, you can also hop on Bure Valley Railway and take a trip across open fields to the bustling market town of Aylsham. Venture off into the grand city of Norwich with its splendid Norman castle, theatre, museums, excellent shopping including outdoor market square, and an array of cafés, pubs and restaurants. Many excellent sandy beaches with sand dunes at Sea Palling, Horsey and Winterton on sea within 30 minutes’ drive. Traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth with its Golden Mile filled with amusements, fun fair, model village, wax works, pier and promenade, and town centre with shops and market square is 20 minutes’ drive. Beach 10 miles. Shop and pub 2 miles. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
