Willow Retreat is a beautiful, modern, stylish 4* luxury holiday home, with designer interiors. This comfortable abode is situated only 1.0 mile from Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline which can be walked or cycled.
Soak up the stunning countryside and coastal views before being welcomed into the open plan living/kitchen/diner, a fabulous bright, modern, and relaxing space designed with guests in mind! The high gloss designer kitchen includes induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, and built-in fridge freezer. Enjoy your meals at the well-presented dining table, offering a wonderful spot for popping open a bottle of fizz with views over the garden. On warm summer evenings why not head out into the garden, make use of the garden furniture and soak up the picturesque views towards the Coquet Island’s. Once the evening draws in sink into the sumptuous sofas whilst watching your favourite film on TV.
Rest your head in the master king bedroom, a comfortable and luxurious space perfect for unwinding and experiencing a quality night’s sleep. There are mirrored wardrobes with generous storage ideal for keeping your belongings neat and tidy. Refresh in the large bathroom offering the option of both a shower and a bath.
Willow Retreat also has a utility cupboard which houses a tumble dryer, a washing machine, and an iron and ironing board.
The ancient village of Warkworth is on your doorstep and boasts a 12th Century toll bridge, one of only two remaining in England, Castle street is quintessentially beautiful and once described thus: “.….one of the most exciting sequences of views one can have in England" Warkworth village is steeped in history, full of ancient and wonderfully quirky stone buildings and houses, the village itself nestles right under Warkworth Castle, towering at the head of Castle Street, the castle appears to still give the impression it is guarding this unique and timeless village. There are gorgeous café’s, pubs, and eateries, and some quaint little local shops to browse and treat yourself. This area is perfect for keen walkers and cyclists offering several routes that can be accessed via Willow Retreat, two of the most popular routes being the ‘Coast and Castles’ and ‘St Oswald’s Way’ which goes from Holy Island to Hexham with the most breath-taking scenery!
Summer days can be spent at one of the many sandy, easily accessible beaches in Amble, Druridge, Cresswell, Warkworth, Alnmouth, Sugar Sands, Boulmer, Rumbling Kern, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh or Craster – all this within approximately 25 mile stretch, you will be spoilt for choice for beaches which are all along the Heritage Coastal Path, travel north to spend the day in Alnwick, where you can look forward to meandering the cobbled streets before discovering some of the country’s finest attractions. Such attractions include Alnwick Castle, which doubled up as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films or enjoy a unique dining experience among the treetops in The Alnwick Gardens, home to one of the world’s largest tree houses, Bamburgh Castle, Warkworth Castle, Farne Island Boat trips, and so much more!
