Enclosed front garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. No smoking. Please note: No children under 8 years old.. Pink Cottage is a gem of a place to stay in historic and atmospheric Fishertown, Nairn. The cottage is an old fisherman’s cottage that has been lovingly looked after and updated by the current owner. It’s in a fantastic condition and will offer anyone wanting to stay in a characterful seaside cottage the perfect place to stay. Only a stone’s throw away from the sea and the mighty stretch of sand that is Nairn Beach, you can walk from the front door and be on the sand in a couple of minutes. You can see the sea from both bedrooms upstairs, but on the ground floor you’re instead nice and cosy, tucked away from the sea breezes! Nairn is famous for dolphin spottings as the Moray Firth has a resident pod of bottlenose dolphins. You’ll stand a great chance of seeing them.
We recommend strolling out to the beach, harbourside and Nairn River mouth (all within five minutes’ walk of cottage) numerous times during your stay to possibly have multiple amazing wildlife experiences. Nairn is also world-renown for its two championship links golf courses. Pink Cottage is equidistant between them both. Play both, compare and then try some other excellent nearby golf courses like Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch. You’re within five minutes’ walk to shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. You won’t need to leave Nairn really after you arrive. However, we recommend you go for a tour about the area because it makes for an excellent explorer’s base.
West you have Inverness, Loch Ness and the NC500 to take you on adventures. East you have the characterful Moray coastal villages. South the Cairngorms National Park beckons. And to the north the sea awaits exploration for those so inclined. There’s an excellent water sports club in Nairn and a big community of paddleboarders. Pink Cottage has space to store and dry wetsuits in its handy outbuilding, which also doubles up as utility room and bicycle store. Hiking and biking in the area is outstanding. There are coastal routes for both, but to the south as you edge to the Cairngorms the trails just get better and better. Back to the accommodation itself. Pulling up at Pink Cottage you’ll be chuffed at your choice. It’s a beautiful place to stay. Entering the little cottage garden you have a lovely outdoor seating space, surrounded by a stunning array of flowers.
