Wayside Cottage - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
Situated on a farm on the edge of Matlock Moor and created from a mellow stone barn, is this lovely little holiday retreat, Wayside Cottage. Attractively decorated with comfortable furnishings, you’ll feel nice and cosy relaxing in the lounge around the log burning stove. A well equipped and fitted kitchen along with a dining area is perfect to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Get a restful night’s sleep in the lovely bedrooms ready to explore the surrounding areas.
Wayside Cottage isn’t far from Matlock Golf Club, but if golf isn’t your cup of tea, there's so much more to see. With the spa town of Matlock nearby with its public transport links, it's a great central location to head out in different directions to explore the Peak District and Derbyshire. Enjoy Hall Leys Park - a beautiful public garden area with a playground, boating lake and miniature railway. You must take a ride on Matlock Bath’s cable cars, or hop in the car and discover the grand Chatsworth House with its fantastic farm shop. Go for a walk up to Froggatt Edge in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District - you won’t be disappointed with the views. Or catch a ride on a Peak Rail steam train. If you’d like to venture a little further Alton Towers is just a short car journey away.
