Great Property
Perfect place for a Cotswold stay. Plenty to do, especially for the children, in a wonderful location. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

It’s all perfect!
We had a great stay at Burghfield cottage. It’s a lovely home in a beautiful setting and charming town. It was plenty of room for our family of eight and walkable to town and other pathways. We could not have asked for more!

50th birthday weekend getaway
We had a great weekend away for 5 couples for a milestone birthday event. The property manager was extremely helpful in organising enough plates, glasses etc for our stay and even additional ice in the freezer before our arrival but more than that, due to the distance some of our party had to travel we were granted early access to avoid them having to hang around unnecessarily on a Friday afternoon and we were also granted a late checkout at no extra cost. For a weekend such as this, it was invaluable. Yes the house is a little dated in places and a couple of the bedrooms are very small and cosy, but we felt the pricing reflected this and it wasnt an issue. The gardens are lovely and there is enough seating around the garden, the lounge and the dining room to accommodate 10 adults. Overall everyone had a fantastic time.

A very lovely Cotswolds stay
Though Sat Cotswolds gave us the 'What 3 Words' to find the cottage, we were unable to use this as there is very little signal in the area, and struggled to find the cottage, the cottage name at the end of the drive way would help, that said the location is beautiful and the cottage is lovely, it had everything we needed for out family of 10 gathering. Yes it's true that the cutlery is mis match as well as the crockery, but it is not lacking in any way. Although it was fairly fresh outside, inside we were nice and cozy. Zoe was my contact during our stay and was easily contactable, for any queries and was very pleasant to liaise with. Overall we had a great time exploring and just chilling.

Excellent Stay
We had an excellent weekend staying in this beautiful cottage. It had everything we needed to enjoy our time as a large group and the short walk into town made it so easy to enjoy the town. Would highly recommended

A wonderful family weekend in a wonderful cottage
This is a wonderful spacious cottage made all the better by the Christmas tree and decorations that had been put up There were ten of us and we can’t speak highly enough of the comfort and amazing time we had The rooms were spacious and clean and no complaints apart from the pillows being too soft It is within a 10-15 walk to the village and a similar walk to the large co-op supermarket It was a shame that it was the coldest weekend of the year and prevented more playing of pool in the summerhouse!! But the house was warm thankfully Special thanks to the property owner Zoe who was of great help and advice

Lovely well located house
The house was located down a little road so was deliciously quiet and calm. It’s very spacious, and cosy. The bedrooms were all nicely appointed, with good showers and a bath. The living space was large, and airy. With a log burner, we could easily keep snuggly warm. There’s a reasonable cooker, and a selection of pots and pans. Not the best for cooking at home, but workable. There was a mishmash of glassware, and plenty of large plates. It would definitely benefit from a complete set of red/white/water/flute glasses, and a matching set of crockery. There were no side plates, for example. There were some dessert- sized unmatched plates, so we got by. The place is great for entertaining because of the space. It was lovely! Perhaps as hoteliers, restaurateurs and hospitality people - well, perhaps we’re a little critical with crockery, glassware etc but in an entertaining space, it’s really important. Thanks for a great stay. We loved being there, and the town is such a treat!

Great location, lovely house with great potential but missing a soul
We had a lovely stay in the Cotswold! The house was beautiful but unfortunately not very clean which was a shame. Everything in the kitchen was sticky! We wanted to fry an egg but the pan was filthy and unusable. I had been traveling and wanted to wash some clothes but the washing machine was so dirty that I didn’t want to put my clothes in there. The rim was totally black of mould & dirt. The kitchen was very spacious but needs some tlc (tender, love & care) The living room was very spacious and comfortable but the windows extremely dirty which was a shame as it didn’t do any justice for the house. The bedrooms were ok, but some mattresses not comfortable. The beds were made in a hurry as none of the covers where sipped up & towels where a mix match and stained. Two bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom with showers but the 3rd bathroom had only a bath which needed to be shared with an other 3 bedrooms, so we ended up all sharing the 2 bathrooms with showers. The decor was average and not much love put into it, which was a real shame for such a beautiful house in a stunning location. The outdoors was nice but again the bbq was left dirty hence we didn’t use it! Overal we had a lovely stay and didn’t let the negative overrule the positive but I don’t think I would recommend this house to friends.

Excellent Location!
We stayed mid week as a family of 9. We were in lunch with the weather too and hence had a lovely time both inside and outdoors. The village is about 10 mins walk away from the cottage. Like what others have said, the furniture needs updating.

Family gathering
Great property and location. We used it for a family gathering and it was perfect. Everything we needed. A few parts are slightly tired but it is a holiday let. Contact with and response from owner was great. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic house and location
This is such a great place to stay. Downstairs is huge and easily accommodated ten adults. Smallest bedroom a little tight for two but perfectly adequate. Highly recommended.

60th Birthday break away
Great house/location. Great 4 a grp. Would be lovely in summer as very private. Needs some extra hanging space in downstairs bedroom / needs some kitchen utensils updating ie large frying pan/ large teapot and ovens need a deep clean once or twice a year as needed to clean before using. Overall though 8/10.

Lovely house, great location
We had a 3 night family stay to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. There were 10 of us (8 adults, 2 children) and we all had a lovely time. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal location being about a 10 minute walk from the village. Bourton itself is a lovely place to visit and we also found the service from StayCotswold excellent.
