Timber lodge set in an elevated position with views of the lake. One double accessed by steep stairs. Large walk-in shower. Outdoor hot tub. Please note that due to the elevated lodge positions of Kingfisher and Woodpecker they are accessed on foot from the parking area via approximately 20 steps and internally there is a steep staircase. Please therefore do not book this lodge if you have mobility issues.. Bulworthy Forest Lodges is tucked away down a picturesque tree-lined drive leading to Bulworthy Forest in heavenly North Devon. Nestling in 25 acres of woodland teeming with flora and fauna, and boasting five well-stocked fishing lakes, this is the consummate setting for escaping to the country and losing yourself in perfect peace and good old-fashioned family fun.

These excellent secluded lodges truly make the most of the beautiful surroundings with spectacular lake views and hot tubs offering the ultimate way to unwind under the woodland canopy or marvel at the starry sky. The lakes offer free coarse and carp fishing, while woodland trails invite gentle rambles amongst an abundance of wildlife and wonderful bird-watching.

With Bideford, Barnstaple, Torrington and a sandy beach all within just 5 miles it is a truly convenient setting from which to explore North Devon and all its attractions. A pub and shops are just a short drive away.

Facilities
A car is advisable to make the most of your holiday.
Wifi service in the area is not consistent nor particularly fast, and hence the service cannot be guaranteed. It is usually sufficient for picking up emails etc but not for streaming films etc. It is sometimes necessary to move around to pick up a signal.
Please note that due to the elevated lodge positions of Kingfisher and Woodpecker they are accessed on foot from the parking area via approximately 20 steps and internally there is a steep staircase. Please therefore do not book this lodge if you have mobility issues.
Due to Road closures on the B3232 between Barnstaple and Torrington that are due to take place from 12/8/24 until the end of August it will be necessary to take a different route than previously advised or that directed by Google Maps in order to reach Bulworthy Forest Lodges.

Follow issued directions/google maps to BARNSTAPLE and as far the roundabout at Roundswell, Barnstaple (BP Garage) BUT continue straight on towards Bideford on the A39.
Continue on this road until you reach traffic lights ( approx 5 miles) and turn right there (signposted Instow /East the Water).
At the roundabout take the first exit.
Take the next left on to ‘ Manteo Way’. (Tescos will be passed on your left half way up the hill)
At the top of the hill at the mini roundabout take the first exit.
Continue for approx 2.5 miles until Webbery Cross .
Turn left at the Crossroads signposted Horwood (and there is a sign for the lodges also)
Continue to the bottom of the hill and the Bulworthy Forest Lodges entrance you will find on the right hand sid
