Country Cabin...We have cleaned the cabin top to bottom! Get out of the city!
This cabin will remind you of a simple way of life from times past! 'It is comfortable and peaceful here', said a recent renter. The front porch across the full length of the house makes a great place to sip coffee, relax, and listen to nature. It's unique location allows for retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life! There is a pond only 100 yards away at the top of the hill where some folks like to try their luck at fishing. Just open the gate and walk right up the hill! The pond near the house has developed problems and is not holding water at the usual depth. Still fish in the pond but they are small! The path behind the cabin leads to a small creek (unless there is a drought) where deer and turkey are often seen; this is also a great place for a nice picnic! For those who enjoy fossil finding and arrow head collecting you will enjoy exploring around the creek banks. There are cows across the road and often see the young calf's running and playing!
Rent our Cozy Cabin and you will truly be refreshed and blessed!

Good cabin. It only had a tv in the living area. It would’ve been nice if the bedrooms had tvs in them as well. The bed in the main room and one of the pillows was hard as a rock, I had to sleep on the couch to get comfortable & watch tv. There is no WiFi at the cabin & I could only get cell service if I held my phone just right and stood by a window. Maybe it would be advantageous if they got cell boosters if they dont wanna install WiFi. I could see some really nice bass in the pond but they wasn’t biting, probably bc it was so cold. But they were huge.
This is the second time I have stayed here. It’s the perfect weekend getaway. The house has everything you could ever need. The owners are always available if you need them. I will be back next year too. Love staying here.
Wayyyy out in the country. Super peaceful. Full cabin at your disposal. No neighbors in site. Cows across the street. If you're fortunate enough to meet the host, you won't be disappointed. Facilities are complete, they are clean, and they are private. Please respect this property if you stay there.
We enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, easy to find and had room for the kids to explore outside. Location was great! Kids love animals so the cows across the road were fun for them.
Very nice and very well stocked for anything you may need or mot...Host was very friendly and would help if you need anything or anytime...is a good bid in the country but if you like to be privat that is the best place to be...no cars, well almost, no dogs barking just peace and quiet....
JUST A GREAT PLACE TO RELAXE....
go people, you don’t know what you missing...
The property is exactly as described. Clean, neat, everything one could need to enjoy a long weekend or more stay. We cooked in the cabin and we bring a few dishes, pots and pans as well as utensils, none of ours were needed. The cabin has a well equipped and comfortable kitchen. It is obvious that this was someone's home at one time as it is comfortably furnished. Check in and checkout was easy. I made one mistake though and left the AC running when I left. I'm very sorry. The hosts communicated well and resolved an issue with the AC system on Sunday of a holiday weekend, wow! AC works great btw. Communication was great. Nice people and we would highly recommend them and this property. Thank you! Lastly, the pond on the property has some fun fishing in it. I caught around a dozen bass with one at 15" in length. I let them all go back. I did catch and keep 1 decent catfish, around 4 lbs. Overall my wife and I had a great time at the cabin and the surrounding area is beautiful. We spent a bunch of our time fishing at beautiful Weiss Lake. On county road 6 we saw wild turkey, goats, cows, horses, and free ranging chickens. Fun for us. We will be back later in the fall hopefully. Thank you for making our trip memorable!
Cabin was neat & clean. Quiet. You felt tensions melting away. I accidently left an insulated cup, owner called to tell me that I had left it and would hold it for me until I was in area again. Highly recommend!
The main reason that we chose this location was because it was in the center of a couple of waterfalls that we wanted to see. My husband enjoyed fishing in the pond and we so enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the peace and quite.
Our children were here for a family wedding so we rented this cute cabin. It was perfect for our short weekend stay. Owners are great to work with…

My parents built this little cabin on the land my Dad grew up on! My Dad grew up dirt poor, but managed to put my sister and I through college without borrowing a dime! The cabin is built much the same way, no loans, no extras, just the basics with lots of hard work and dedication! The planks on the outside are from two large pine trees we cut off the land, and the pond is feed by a well that has not gone dry in over 70 years! This is just our little bit of heaven we hope others enjoy!
