About this property
Hugely popular cottage within walking distance of castle
The Old Butcher's Cottage is bursting with character. Recently renovated throughout, this high spec semi detached property is the hideaway you've been searching for. Luxurious furnishings and exquisite linens adorn the bedrooms, living area and kitchen, providing stunning accommodation that the whole family will remember. Parties of all kinds can enjoy home cooked meals in the large open plan kitchen-lounge area and gather around the dining table for drinks or a board game. The living room is a welcoming retreat after a long day exploring all Corfe Castle has to offer, with inviting sofas to snuggle up on, seating 6 comfortably. Enjoy a DVD or make use of the smart television, complete with Apple TV. There is a ground floor shower room with WC, providing extra facilities for your party. In the warmer months, why not make use of the delightful garden and dine alfresco with use of the BBQ?
Upstairs you will find 3 good sized bedrooms comprised of 2 super kings and one twin. The Old Butcher's Cottage provides very flexible accommodation, as all rooms can be made up as either a super king or twin on request. All rooms have been decorated to an extremely high standard, with characterful décor and quality linens. The first floor family bathroom has a shower, WC and a bath so you can enjoy a long soak after a busy day exploring Dorset.
*please note that the first floor of this property is a dormer conversion and therefore headroom can be restricted at the sides of the rooms, particularly in the bathroom.
You can discover the old ruins of the National Trust's Corfe Castle, just a 5-minute stroll from the cottage. With many events taking place at the Castle year-round, you won't be short of things to keep you occupied. Enjoy authentic Dorset produce at one of the many pubs; particularly The Greyhound Inn, the most photographed pub in Britain. This olde public house has spectacular food and a lovely beer garden to soak up some Dorset sunshine. Try breakfast or lunch in one of the many tearooms or treat the children to a day out at the model village - something not to be missed! If walking takes your fancy, you can explore miles of gorgeous Dorset scenery with your four-legged friends by your side.
If you love days out at the beach, the cottage is perfectly situated for a short drive to either Studland or Swanage. You can find stunning blue flag sandy beaches and sparkling waters, along with lots of restaurants, pubs and attractions year-round.
