Stunning property, tranquil location
I stayed at the Mill with my father and son. We were celebrating his birthday and what an idyllic location to do it in! Simon, the owner, was very helpful in his communication before and during our stay.
The Mill is exquisite-light, spacious and beautifully appointed. Simon kindly left us some delicious treats but we also picked up some essentials on the way in, as we knew from previous reviews that the Mill is a bit off the beaten track-but that was just what we wanted.
The layout was perfect for us, with a double bedroom and shower on the ground floor, which suited my father. My son and I had a double bedroom each on the top floor, both of which had lots of space and storage and lovely views of the countryside surrounding us. The bathrooms were pure luxury with large shower enclosures and modern stylish fittings. There were plenty of towels and the bed linen was of a good quality. The kitchen was full of high end appliances , some a bit complex to understand but that is more to do with me!
We were lucky enough to have sunshine so were able to use the outdoor furniture to sit on the decking and listen to the stream that runs around the Mill. The highlight for me was the private cove, a short walk away down a path, where I enjoyed a swim in the sea.
The Mill is a an architectural dream-like something on Grand Designs. The location it is in is breathtakingly peaceful. We loved our stay and left feeling restored. Thank you for sharing your lockdown project with us Simon
