Great cottage in little rissington, very comfy and everything we needed for a long weekend
We had a lovely 4 days staying at the old farm house and everything was just as we needed for a break with our friends. Under floor heating was great and we had a fire in the log burner in the evenings which was lovely. Beds all comfortable and bathrooms spacious and had everything we required. Parking area is very narrow so we squeezed the 2 cars as close as we could. All in all we would recommend the cottage as it is very nice and also in a good spot for visiting all the lovely villages and towns in the area.

Beautiful place
We had the most amazing time at the Cotswold, it is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed the experience of living in Grade list building and it has everything we need. We would come back again in some distant future. Thank you so much

A lovely cottage with gorgeous view
We loved staying here. A lovely comfortable place with nice views right outside the front windows. Quiet village with a short drive--even a walk--to Bourton on the Water for restaurants, take-out pasties, Co-op market, etc. The 2nd-floor bedroom and bath are not to be missed. Thanks to all. We will return

Lovely stay to visit Cotswolds
The cottage was really nice as it looks in the pictures. Great location to visit Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-water is just 5 minutes far and the most of the villages are reachable in a very short time. The kitchen is fully equipped and the owners greeted us with a welcome gift. It was a very lovely stay and we surely recommend it.

Black Bold, Poor Management
Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay. The property showers and kitchen have quite a bit of black mold, which was very concerning. The washing machine was broken when we arrived and had a towel full of mold inside. We had a very difficult time getting through to management. When we finally did get though, the manager set up a time to come the next day at 3:00. We waited around from 2:30 onwards and nobody showed up. Nobody called or wrote saying they couldn’t come. Half a day of vacation wasted. The next day, we talked to management in the afternoon. They said they would try and send someone later that day and then informed us that they had already sent someone at 9:00 in the morning that day and nobody answered. Two people were at home and downstairs preparing breakfast at that time and heard nobody. One person stayed home until afternoon hoping to have the washer fixed and nobody came. It didn’t add up and really put a damper on our holiday. Management seemed more concerned that we felt they were not being honest than that they wasted our time and our vacation. Talked over us, constantly interrupting. We ended up fixing the washer ourselves.

Birthday Weekend with family
Lovely cottage with great amenities. Beds super comfy. Loved the exposed beams and character of the cottage. Great location for driving to and exploring the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. Only disappointment was we could not walk to the Lamb Inn as mentioned in property location. You would need to drive as public path at least 1.6 miles and not suitable for us as we had two young children. Other than that we had a super family weekend celebrating my birthday.

Great stay but could be superb with minor tweaks
We had a lovely stay and communication was excellent. The cottage is very traditional and in a great location, despite being next to a road, and is very charming. It's great for visiting all areas of the cotswolds and parking is easy. There are elements of the farmhouse in need of updating, the kitchen and dining chair cushions are very worn and little things like the pull out tables in the lounge are very unstable so not usable. These are minor issues but they would make a huge difference.

In general, it's not bad
The accommodation overall was satisfactory, offering a blend of convenience and comfort. Situated in a prime location, it provided easy access to amenities and attractions. The staff’s prompt response to inquiries and the property’s cleanliness were commendable. While most amenities operated smoothly, there was a notable inconvenience on the first day with the hot water supply unexpectedly running cold mid-shower, dampening the experience. Furthermore, despite the promise of warmth, the room remained chilly throughout the stay, as the heating system seemed inadequate to combat the cold. Despite these setbacks, the overall experience was positive, yet marred by the discomfort caused by the temperature inconsistencies.

Cosy Catch Up with Friends
The cottage was absolutely perfect for our girl's celebration weekend. Would recommend for a winter break, as nothing nicer than returning to the cosy cottage, lighting the wood burner and enjoying a glass of wine with friends. Communication through the booking process and leading up to arrival was excellent. Would stay here again if visiting the Cotswolds.

OK but improvements needed
The house has been tastefully renovated, but the owners need to tackle a few issues. The interior was very clean, but the windows are in desperate need of cleaning, as is the tiny "patio". Taps in the 1st floor basin and kitchen sink are loose. The blind in the 1st floor bathroom is filthy ,perhaps caused by mildew. It is also not wide enough, meaning neighbours can see you showering. As someone else mentioned you cannot open the front door, which is a fire hazard if there is a fire in the kitchen.

A great weekend stay with family
A lovely early autumn weekend break at The Old Farmhouse, with our 2 children and their partners. Communication with StayCotswold was very good from booking to the end of our stay. The Old farmhouse is a beautiful old house with a lot of character. Beware low beams in the top bedroom! Spotless , warm and welcoming and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Plenty of space throughout and lovely to eat in a proper dining room for a change and then relax in the sitting room with the wood burner going. Busier road than we anticipated but still slept very well. Beautiful area, amazing views from churchyard and footpaths on your doorstep. Enjoyed our 4 mile round walk to the pub in Great Rissington . ( lovely food ) Super weekend …..thank you !

Improvements to be made
Traditional property ideally situated but cleanliness improvements could be made. Would recommend a visit to St Peter’s church that has a number of war graves and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.

Fabulous Stay!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at The Old Farmhouse. The cottage is perfectly located, just a short distance from several iconic Cotswolds towns, and a mere 5 minute drive to Bourton on the Water. The cottage itself was beautiful, a home from home, incredibly cosy and comfortable, exactly the kind of cottage you'd dream about for a romantic getaway to the Cotswolds! The cottage is a great size, spread out over 3 floors, and has been beautifully and traditionally furnished, with added mod cons, to ensure you have everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!
