Quintessential Boothbay Harbor/SPI Maine Vacation

We have always loved vacationing at nearby Southport Island and decided to take a chance on the coast of Boothbay. Often times when vacationing you get a great home but no view or a great view but the home is lacking; this Spruce Point home offers the best of both. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the ocean views from the Master bedroom, living room (comfortable chairs/couch with good reading lights!), dining room and kitchen are wonderful. Easy walking access through a beautiful flower garden down to the water's edge. We enjoyed reading from the bench at the water or sitting on the rocks during the day and watching the boats. We took advantage of walking and running everyday down to Boothbay Harbor. Loved being able to take a short five minute walk for both breakfast and dinner at Bogie's at the Spruce Point Inn. This home really offers access to everything with the privacy you want. Both owner and manager are wonderful to work with and made everything super easy. Highly recommend this home for vacation!

Relaxing Private Oasis Near All the Amenities

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The property offered the perfect combination of a relaxing private oasis, but one that was minutes away from all of the amenities offered at Spruce Point Inn (the rental included a pass providing access to Inn) and in Boothbay Harbor. After spending the day enjoying all the amenities offered at the Inn and in Boothbay, we were able to come back to our secluded retreat and to enjoy the views from the property's private beach before heading off to bed to fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the waves crashing on the shoreline.

About the host

Hi, my wife and I are originally from Ct and discovered Boothbay about 10 years ago while on a college hunting trip with our daughter, who eventually went to Colby. Now retired, we enjoy adding plantings and rock gardens to the property, as well as exploring all that the Boothbay area has to offer. We still live in NY full time(for now), but enjoy our Maine visits enough to make the 6 hour commute!

Why they chose this property

Everything you need for your vacation is right here! Walk to the Spruce Point Inn for kayaks, bikes, the pools, dining, or lounging in the Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset. Want to go into town? The Inn has a boat shuttle service. Want to relax at home? Sit on the lawn or deck and gaze at the beautiful views as ships sail by, or sit on the rocks or beach.

What makes this property unique

When you walk into the house and look out the dining room window to the water, or from the upstairs bedroom, you will fall in love with the house. The views are fabulous, and with plenty of space to explore the grounds and flowers, you won't want to leave. With all the activities in the area, you will not a lack for things to do. Visit the Botanical Gardens. Truly a world class gem! Take a boat tour. Or, dine on lobster in one of the many eateries. It may be one of the lobsters plucked from the waters right in front of your little beach area!
