The area has great walking and cycling paths in the nearby Bellever Forest, as well as several archaeological relics such roundhouses, stone rows, and burial cysts. From here, you may also see the ruins of Powdermills, a 19th-century gunpowder factory that made powder for the nearby quarries and mines. This area is well-connected by car to well-liked tourist destinations like Okehampton and Plymouth, making it a getaway destination to savour.
