Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: Poolewe, a picturesque settlement, can be found in Loch Ewe's protection, near the point where the River Ewe emerges from Loch Maree. There is a well-stocked shop, a small swimming pool, and two hotels in this picturesque town, which is located in an area with breathtaking views. Just across the bay from the town is the internationally acclaimed Inverewe Garden, which is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland. Between 1862 and his death in 1922, botanist Osgood Mackenzie worked tirelessly to improve the area. As a result of the Gulf Stream's moderate climate, it has become a haven for exotic plants that have been imported from all corners of the globe. The stunning sands of Gruinard Bay are located five miles to the west, while Firemore Beach is located a similar distance north along the coast; a string of beautiful beaches round the bay, and many of them are easily accessible from the main road. The area is perfect for a vacation because to the beautiful scenery, mountains, and abundance of activities such as hillwalking, golfing, fishing, cruising with wildlife, and much more.
