Charming apartment in a 1910s building 2 min walk from the Colosseum

Fully renovated apartment located on the 4th floor of a period building from the 1910s, with private lift and air-conditioning, and only 2-minute walk from the Colosseum.

The apartment consists of:
- 2 connecting spaces: ONE BEDROOM with a king size bed and air-conditioning; ONE LIVING ROOM with a double sofa bed, flat screen TV with Netflix and air-conditioning
- A KITCHEN with induction stove, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and Moka and a dining table for 4 people
- A BATHROOM with a shower, bidet and hairdryer

The apartment was FULLY RENOVATED in 2016 and it is furnished with period furniture of the 1st and 2nd half of the 20th century, including an original 1909 bedroom.

2-minute walk from the COLOSSEUM and the IMPERIAL FORUMS, it is ideal for couples, families with kids, or a small group of friends, looking for a very central location to explore the city centre of Rome on foot.

PARKING. In the Celio district parking on payment (indicated by blue lines) or free (white lines) is available on the street. Covered parking on payment is available in a garage downstairs.

TOURIST TAX. Known as "Tassa di Soggiorno" in Italian, the Rome Tourist Tax is a charge paid cash upon check-in or check-out for any form of accommodation within city limits. It has just been increased by law in July 2023, so it will be € 3,5 per night per person (above 10 years old) until September 30, 2023 and € 6 per night per person (above 10 years old) since October 1, 2023, to be paid to the Municipality of Rome for the first 10 nights only.

Great Location.

Great location, property is in an old building with some nice features. Close to Colosseum and Metro and walking distance to many other sites. Lots of local cafes and restaurants. Hosts very hands on and good communicators. Keen to assist.

Loved our Stay!

Highly recommend this charming and comfortable flat. The building is more beautiful than the photos allow. Elena is such a welcoming and attentive host and we had a fun and easy time staying there as a family of four, with two young children. Staying so close to the Colosseum was pretty amazing to have it as the back drop of our daily walks, especially lit up at night. The beds are very comfortable, including the sofa-bed. Elena gave great tips on where to eat in Rome and the Celio neighborhood. The neighborhood is very lively, but the flat is far enough away from the noise to make for a somewhat peaceful stay in the city.

Awesome property and location and PERFECT host!

VERY, very clean property. Impeccable, actually. On the last floor, but the escalator takes you right to the door. The host waited for us, and so kind leaving for us a welcome gift. And she even helped us finding a taxi from and to the airport!!! Netflix, cable, air-conditioning worked perfectly, very comfortable and huge bed. Everything was even better than expected! The location IS perfect! Walking distance to restaurants, subway, an Express Carrefour, AND, of course, the Colosseo! Thank you so much! We enjoyed our trip to Rome even more, because of our stay at your beautiful apartment!

The location was spectacular

The location was spectacular. Close to the metro, close to the colosseum, it was great. Our hosts also gave us a map of suggested places to dine, atms, supermarket, etc that was absolutely amazing!

Home away from home

Enjoyed my stay at this very charming and comfortable rental. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything my son and I needed during our week long visit in Rome. So close to everything. Conveniently located nearby was an array of restaurants, coffee shops, and small grocery store. Our hosts were so nice and helpful. They even managed an earlier check in, which we were so grateful for after our long journey to get here. The chilled bottle of Prosecco chilling in the refrigerator was such a nice surprise as well! So welcoming. I highly recommend this property. It was everything I was hoping for and more!

Wonderful host; great neighborhood location

This was a great location for seeing the standard sights in Rome. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to, and had a taxi stand nearby when we wanted to drive. The neighborhood felt so safe and there were several places nearby for an easy dinner and drinks. The apartment was perfect for our stay. Loved having the separate room with a TV that could be closed off from the bedroom. Elena was a great host and was easily accessible when we needed her. Would highly recommend this location.

Great location

This apartment is in the perfect location to see all the sights in Rome. It is also close to wonderful restaurants. Our communication with Elena was excellent, and she made sure we had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable, and we liked having a nice sitting room to relax in with espresso in the mornings. We would stay here again!

Dream holiday

Elena and her family were the most lovely hosts. Our accommodations became the absolute highlight of our trip - what an incredible value for such a great flat. The history of the flat is interesting and heart warming and the family does a great job of conveying this to guests. It is spacious, very comfortable and beautiful. The flat’s vicinity to Rome’s most prestigious attractions was just the cherry on top. There’s a cafe right across the street with delicious coffee and breakfast that is so cheap. We went every morning! We can’t wait to visit again and stay here soon!

Felt Like Home

Before we even arrived in Rome, Elena contacted us and made sure we had everything we needed. When we finally met her, she made us feel like we were home. The apartment was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was a sitting room, a kitchen, and a large bedroom. The area it’s located in is quiet, but also centrally to many attractions either by foot or taxi. We look forward to staying there again.

We had a great stay, and the host was able to accommodate early check in for us which was great so that we could drop our bags off and get exploring. Very nice and clean apartment in a great spot, very close to colosseum

Domus Colosseo Gem

My sister and I spent 8 days at this gorgeous apartment right in the heart of Ancient Rome. It’s a short walk to the coliseum amidst countless restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, a park. Not only is the location great, but the apartment itself is beautifully furnished with original pieces from the early 20th century. And the bed…SO comfortable! My checkin process with Elena was extremely smooth. You couldn’t ask for a more gracious host. Her communications made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. She gave us recommendations for cafes, markets, things to do all right there in the neighborhood. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Loved our visit to Rome

Our host was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The location is fantastic. The neighborhood has great restaurants and you can quickly walk to many destinations like the Coliseum which is just two blocks away. We loved the apartment. The bed was super comfortable and the couch folded out into a bed for our son. It was warm during our stay but the two A/C units kept us very comfortable. I can highly recommend this apartment and host.

great place near Colosseum in relatively quiet area

Our stay at this apartment was absolutely perfect for 2. The location was absolutely perfect! We had a comfortable stay close to the heart of Rome without the hustle and bustle of the main road traffic. We were able to walk to get groceries, espresso, dinner, drinks, and sights of the coloseum all within a short walk in any direction. The apartment was down the street from a police station so that also made us feel safe while being out late at night. Elena was an incredible hoste who was dedicated to making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We did not find ourselves needing anything she hadn’t already provided during our stay. The apartment is well maintained, cozy, and clean. It honestly felt like we were staying with family here. We will definitely re-book this place next time we are in town.

Seamless check in experience. Host is prompt and very polite and accommodating. Arranged for airport pickup with Max who was amazing! He was waiting for us with a sign and we wasted no time after we came out of airport! Property is clean and beautiful. Has character with furniture and wall art showing tradition and culture of Rome. Property is very central…walking distance to the colosseum, cafes, taxi stand and other tourist attractions!

Familiy trip to Rome

Very warm welcome bei Elena, a nice authentic furnitured flat very central near the collosseum! Bus+Metro in short walking distance, we loved the morning coffee at the Antic Cafe opposite the domis folloseum.
