There is a fold out table to seat 4 and appliances include electric oven/hob, large freestanding fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee bean grinder and coffee machine. No dishwasher. Coffee is taken seriously here – fresh beans are provided for you to grind and use in the machine to suit your exact taste!

Twin bedroom
2 single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Carpeted.

ALL ABOUT THE OUTSIDE:

A small area but well laid out. Parking for one car. There is also free parking on the road running through the village. Get a spot near to the end of the lane and you won't have very far to walk at all.

The area is paved and gravelled and well fenced all round with solid fence – 4ft+. There is a wooden table and chairs, a bbq (charcoal) and an outside shower for sandy paws or wetsuits. There are neighbouring properties but generally very quiet and the road is a dead end track so very little in the way of passing traffic or people.

A winter visit

Our 2nd stay! And this time enjoyed the log burner!! This cosy clean cottage had everything (&more!) that we needed. The dogs and us were well catered for! The welcome pack was fab. The location suited our old & young dogs. ERC provided a buggy at our request but it wasn’t needed!!! Thankyou ERC & Anne

Rose Cottage

I lovely cottage situated 2 minutes walk from the sea of, the welcome pack was out of this world. The owners are very approachable even when things go wrong through no fault of theirs, they go out of their way to put things right. We would certainly stay here again.

Another relaxing break

This was our second stay at Rose Cottage and we will be returning next year. The cottage is cosy and in a perfect location 2 minutes from the beach which our dogs love. Ann provides a lovely welcome pack and even left a bag of presents for us to take home for one of our dogs who was unwell and unable to come. I cannot recommend Rose Cottage highly enough.

So close to the beach

The cottage was warm and cosy when we arrived. The welcome tray was very generous with lots of treats for the dogs and the cake was to die for. The cottage is literally 20 yards from the beach and ideally placed. The road was puddly but we managed to navigate around the edge. There were lots of dogs on the beach and some owners were not very considerate with dogs with no recall. The cottage is well equipped with kitchen equipment so we did a mix of cooking, fish and chips from the chip shop and a great takeaway from the pub. The garden is small and all gravel but fine for the dogs for a quick toilet. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory especially when the sun shone. It was the perfect place to chill. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely stay at Rose Cottage

I thoroughly enjoyed my few days at Rose Cottage. It has everything you need for humans and dogs. Very close to the Walcott beach and others near by. Nice pub within walking distance and a good Cafe and Fish & Chip shop nearby. So you don't have to cook if you prefer not to on holiday.

Everything a doggy would need

We took Maggie our 8 month old cocker spaniel on her first holiday and what a lovely stay we had. We chose this cottage because Maggie could sleep upstairs with us. There was everything that we needed for her stay, toys, throws, towels, treats, bowls, Mud Daddy and an enclosed yard outside. We got an amazing welcome pack on arrival and the best Victoria Sponge, bread, cheese, butter, apple juice and more. The house was well equipped and lovely and clean. The sitting room was cosy and use of the log burner was great for evenings chilling watching a film. The house is a few steps from the a beautiful beach stretching miles which Maggie loved. There are a couple of pubs in walking distance which were quite nice, a lovely chip shop and friendly shop which sold a wide range of things and was very reasonable. The only thing that is a watch out is the low sloping ceilings in places upstairs that wouldn't be suitable for tall people. We had a lovely stay.

Very welcoming and dog friendly

We had a lovely stay at rose cottage. Great for dogs especially as we had 4. Would have been nice to have had a bigger garden space but the beach is on the doorstep.

More good bits than bad bits. Lovely stay.

The welcome pack was amazing. Fab chocolate cake and all the other unexpected bit. Top marks. A couple of issues with the boiler and hot water soon fixed by Anne. We had a lovely stay and the cottage is truly dog friendly. Minstrel had a fab time. We did find it was a bit full of dog hairs under the sofa and chairs in living room but that’s down to the cleaners. Toilet wasn’t sparkly clean either. At the end of the day we really enjoyed our stay at a difficult time with the bad weather. Log burner was super cosy. Once we understood how to get hot water working all was good. Would definitely stay again but cleaners do need to do a better job.

Much needed break

After a couple of tough months it was so good to get away, and we certainly chose a perfect spot! Rose Cottage was lovely, had everything we needed, and the location was too was perfect. Our dog loved the sofa, taking advantage of being able to join us there, as there were throws a plenty, and the beach was wonderful. We visited a couple of pubs, and the fish and chip shop all of which were good.

Another Great Holiday at Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a home from home. Anne, the owner has a lovely cottage and provides all the necessary things for a comfortable, relaxing stay for both humans and dogs. Anne's welcome goodies are the best we've ever had in all the places we have stayed. So dog friendly and there is everything you could possibly need for your dog - toys, towels, blankets, dishes, leads etc. The cottage is yards away from the beach, Poachers Pocket pub, convenience shop, cafe and fish and chips shop. It is also central to places of interest and trips out across Norfolk. The only complaint we have is that we have to tear ourselves away and come home! Roll on to our next visit.

A well placed cottage close to the seafront.

Lovely and cosy, crisp bed linen on comfy beds. Also a wonderful thoughtful goody basket on arrival!! Everything you could possibly think of was provided for our dogs, fresh squishy beds, throws, leads toys, towels even 2 mud daddys!! An absolutely amazing vegan cafe up the road was the cherry on the cake. Loved it!
