About this property

7th Street Bungalow · Cozy And Updated Bungalow

3+ Bedroom, 3 Bath Home - Spacious, Comfortable & In Town! Beautiful yard, convenient location for walking in town or to local Parks. Unique in-town home that can still handle a crowd. Still only 45 minutes to Yellowstone National Park!

The 7th Street Bungalow is located in the historical heart of Livingston, Montana's most desired neighborhood. This updated, historical bungalow houses a crowd and allows for a group to relax and tour Livingston and the Yellowstone National Park area in style and comfort - a true home away from home.

3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with a full size bed) on the main level, 3 full bathrooms in the home, 2 downstairs and one upstairs. Upstairs, the open loft / room area has 3 twin beds and a full bathroom.

Your family or group of friends can cook in the roomy, fully stocked kitchen with updated appliances. The living area and dining room are open and comfortable for relaxing after a day on the trails or rivers.

The backyard is partially fenced and the wrap around deck allows for conversations and cocktails on our beautiful, cool Montana evenings. A propane BBQ grill is provided for outdoor cooking, along with a picnic table in the green, private backyard.

The house is 1 block from Livingston's iconic "Marks In and Out" walk up only burger and shake stand, dating back to 1954.

A short 5 block walk lands you in the heart of downtown where you will find world renowned art galleries, restaurants, darling local shops, a movie theater, breweries and more. Heading straight east from the house you are on the Banks of the Yellowstone River in Livingston's beautiful city park - always lively with people walking, playing games, enjoying the weekly farmers market, or just watching a sunset along the river.

Livingston rests on the banks of the Yellowstone River surrounded by majestic mountains. Livingston delivers an eclectic blend of shops, museums, Golf course, galleries, live theater and music, as well as unique restaurants for every taste. Explore Park County to experience breathtaking mountain ranges, fun and hardworking ranches and romance under the big sky. Whether you seek the rugged outdoors or culture within our many art galleries and live theatre, comfort cuisine to fine dinning or luxurious comforts to casual clean rooms, come visit us as you’ll find exciting things to do and friendly faces here in Livingston, Park County, Montana.

For your convenience there is a lock box with key by the front door. The entire property is yours, except the unusable detached garage. You have great privacy on the wrap around porch and quaint front and back yards.

The gals at Key Montana Property Management live in town, and are a text or phone call away should you need anything. Otherwise, check yourselves in and have a great time!

Livingston has often been described as "one of my favorite towns in Montana. In terms of location, a person can’t really ask for more. After all, the Yellowstone River flows right along the edge of town. The scenery around Livingston is also tough to beat, with the Absaroka Mountains rising steeply to the south of town while the Bridger Mountains rise to the northwest.

Of course, what has helped really put Livingston on the map is its proximity to Yellowstone National Park. Livingston isn’t a true “gateway” to Yellowstone since it isn’t located right along the park border. Yet the town receives thousands of people a day who are Yellowstone bound due to its location along Interstate 90 and US Highway 89 (US 89 leads to Gardiner)."

Unlike so many small towns across America today, the downtown area of Livingston is full of stores with few empty storefronts. The numerous red brick buildings in the downtown area have been well maintained and restored. The downtown area is also very clean; the only thing a visitor is likely to see on the sidewalk is a painted trout.
Downtown is bustling with galleries, local shops, hardware stores, high end vintage thrift and antique shops, hip bars and eateries (this includes French bistros, sushi, steak joints and even vegan options!)

Most nights you can find live music at a local bar where locals gather, chat, talk about their fishing day, ranch day or simply what's going on with their kids at school.
One of the more friendly and down to earth towns in southwest Montana. Livingston is a place where everyone still knows your name and always has a seat for you and a cold drink.

We always recommend you have a car for getting out of town to see Yellowstone and the surrounding mountains and trails, but when you are in town - you can easily and safely walk anywhere from the house!

PETS – Well-behaved pets are negotiable with PRIOR approval. Pets must never be on the furniture, beds or linens. Any animal feces must be removed prior to departure. There is a non refundable $200 per pet fee for pets ( for up to two dogs). More than 2 dogs requires an additional $200/pet. If pets are not disclosed prior to arrival, guest will lose entire deposit.

10th Summer in Livingston

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife, twin teenage daughters and golden doodle Mabel loved 7th Street Bungalow. The 3 bedrooms downstairs and 3 full bathrooms made it great when we had friends visit. Easy walk to restaurants, bars and just a block from Mark's In and Out. The downstairs AC kept us cool, even on the hottest days. Key Montana is by far the best property management group we've used in our 10 years of visiting. Deena and Brooke are great and always just a phone call/text away.

Caution

I would like to share some thoughts with you about this particular house. First, you should definitely let people know that the road outside the front of the house is torn up and that concrete sawing begins at 8 am promptly on weekday mornings. Second, the claw foot tub that is highlighted on your site is unusable as a soaking tub because the enamel is missing at the bottom of the tub and has been covered with a plastic mat, which is not what one expects when one conjures a hot soak in a clawfoot tub. Third, the main floor air conditioner doesn't exactly work, so the house is warm, and for health reasons, especially for seniors, it is worth mentioning beforehand. Please see the pictures below. For the most part the house was pleasant to be in, however, upon arrival, the above surprises were not particularly welcome, especially for the price point being charged. December in Livingston

This is a lovely house. It was very well stocked with dishes and cooking pots/pans. Excellent layout. We loved the leather couch and the dining table. The location was perfect. Two problems: a significant amount of the dishes were not very clean, probably because of prior guests. Also, the heating was inconsistent: it was much colder in back two bedrooms and large bathroom than it was in front bedroom and kitchen. We had to borrow blankets from the upstairs! These were not deal breakers. We live in an old house and know it has quirks as well as charm.

Great house and location in Livingston

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house was great, though on a few hot days the lack of A/C did make it more uncomfortable sleeping as it did not cool off very quickly. Extra fans definitely helped though. Coffee pot was not working but was replace immediately, which showed how attentive the property management was. We really appreciated the prompt response, and had a blast exploring Livingston and the surrounding area.

Great place for large family, close to downtown Livingston & short drive to YNP

We stayed here with my husband’s family and the house itself was perfect for our two families. Tons of kids toys and games, too. Beautiful, fairly quick drive to Yellowstone National Park (our main destination) and quick walk to downtown Livingston. Check in was a little off as we had to call for a different key code for the lockbox. Also, the property is NOT fully-fenced, which I thought it said in the listing. There is a part of the porch where dogs could easily get out and into the front yard/street. Lucky for us, all our dogs are well behaved so it wasn’t really an issue, but that also meant we couldn’t let them go play alone for even a little bit. All good, not a dealbreaker for us! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

A pleasant choice in Livingston

The location of this home is ideal. A short walk gets you to town, to the grocery store or to the park. The fenced backyard coming directly into the large mudroom from the back porch was an absolutely perfect set up for our dog. The front porch is a lovely place to sit and relax. Dining room was my favorite with large windows to let in the morning sun

Wonderful stay at the 7th Street Bungalow

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The 7th Street Bungalow is a great place! My husband and I rented there with another couple and had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. It was also close to town so we were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. We especially enjoyed eating at Gil's Goods, the 2nd Street Bistro, Pinky's, the Rib and Chop House, Mustang Fresh Food, and the Northern Pacific Beanery. We also enjoyed eating in one night with a pizza from Rosa's. Livingston's location made it a great spot to stay that is close enough to Yellowstone to make a day trip or a short drive to Bozeman for shopping and eating. We also enjoyed the Grizzly Encounter and the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman.
