Amazing weekend and property

We are a group of 'mature' ladies that for 23 years have been going away twice a year for walking weekends in the UK. The house was extremely clean, well planned out and big! The location was amazing and the views from the house and hot tub were spectacular. The outdoor space is very large, extremely well maintained and offers amazing views plus a dining area with quality table and chairs, a wendy house for the children and a building with a 'ping pong' table in it (we didn't use this so can't comment on quality). We did a couple of lovely local walks, visited Carrig Cennan Castle, walked to a waterfall and visited the Ape & Monkey Sanctuary. We had a great time. The communication with Kathryn was fantastic, speedy and helpful. We were greeted when we arrived and shown the property and given details of who to contact if we had a question. You felt that they really wanted you have a great time. One of us was celebrating a 60th birthday and there was a birthday card and fizz waiting for us when we arrived. On our last evening, as usual, we voted for how we would rate the property and surroundings compared to all the others we had stayed in and everyone put it at number 1 or 2! You won't regret staying here. We hope to be back.

Beautiful Property

I booked this property as there was supposed to be a couple more of us. It ended up being my 3 adult sons and 2 year old granddaughter. The house was lovely and we all had room to have down time too. The property had everything you needed and more especially in the kitchen. Check in was easy and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. The views are amazing, even our Welsh friends loved them. needed and more

Lovely house in beautiful location

The house was very spacious even for our group of 9 adults and 4 children. It was well decorated, clean and a beautiful location. The view was amazing from the house and we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub admiring it. It was well equipped and had everything we needed and was in a good location for exploring the Brecon Beacons and around 40-50 minutes from nice beaches. It was the perfect place for a big family holiday and we would definitely if we were to do one again in the future.

Amazing holiday home

Dragon Stone is a wonderful holiday home in peaceful surroundings with amazing scenery. The house is very well equipped with a fantastic hot tub and very large well kept lawned gardens perfect for our party of ten with ages ranging from 11 to 77 years and one very happy dog! The owner was there to meet us on arrival to show us round. We did have a couple of small issues but he came straight away to sort them. We would highly recommend Dragon Stone, best holiday home yet!!

Family Holiday to Celebrate 60th Birthdays

Wonderful stay

Thank you for such a lovely stay. The house is beautiful, huge, so clean and such lovely gardens. The hot tub is lovely, great instructions left. The host was very accommodating and friendly - did lots to help us. Thanks again.

Location beautiful

I will start with the positives. The location and house are incredible. The house has everything you would want, and the views from the hot tub are amazing. Now for the negatives. The gardeners arrived early on Sunday morning, and used petrol mowers and strimmers. This woke up some of my family, and my 18month old toddler. The gardeners were at the property for 2-3 hours. The children were unable to use the garden at this time, which was unfair. Also one of the female guests were in the hot tub when the young men arrived to tend to the garden, this made them feel awkward, and body conscious leaving the hot tub while the gardeners were standing there, waiting to start their work. I believe it’s unfair, we couldn’t use all the facilities we had paid for, even if it was for 3 hours. Kathryn could have informed us the gardeners were coming around, early on a Sunday morning. The gardeners should have done their work after we checked out on the Monday. While checking out, and loading our vehicles a car pulled up outside. This was around 9:30am, I believe it was the cleaners. Though they just sat in their car staring at us, it made us feel rushed and under pressure. Which made an already stressful situation, worse.

We stay at the house for May bank holiday and the house was excellent as shown on photo. The house is clean and great space for us to gather around. Kathryn is a great host and communication is great whenever we have question about the house. I will definitely book again if we decided to visit the area again.

Perfect week away at Dragonstone

From when we first drove upto Dragonstone the house was beautifully presented. Inside was no disappointment, the layout was perfect for the 11 of us without us feeling on top of one another. There is everything you could possibly need available brilliantly equipped house. Kathryn was a brilliant host and answered our queries promptly. This house and Kathryn come highly recommended, if you want a stress free break with a stunning view.

Relaxing weekend away

I went away with a large group of friends and loved our time. We went on some lovely walks in the nearby area and enjoyed relaxing at the property. The property comfortably slept 13 and we felt it was perfect. Kathryn was an amazing host and so accommodating would love to come again!

Gorgeous property

Dragonstone is perfect for a large group getaway. There were 13 of us plus dogs. The garden is great, lots of space, fully enclosed with an *incredible* view. The house is equipped with everything you need, has comfortable beds and good showers. Kathryn is everything you want from a host, super helpful, there when needed but leaves you alone to enjoy the space!

Lovely stay

Stayed as a family of 12. Lovely house in a quiet area, huge garden, set up well for ease of stay, plenty of games and some toys available for the children. The showers are lovely. Dog bowls available and treats left, nice little welcome basket. Only recommendation would be some covered outdoors areas and shelter over the hot tub given the amount of rain expected in wales.

New Year 2023

Absolutely amazing house!! So pleased we chose this property to spend time with our friends and family for new year. Despite the weather, we had a fantastic stay at Dragonstone. Kathryn is a brilliant host, keeping in touch with us ahead of check in as well as welcoming us personally at check-in. The house itself is very beautiful, so much care has been taken to give it all the personal touches that you could want away from home. It has the most well equipped kitchen of any place we've stayed before. We will definitely be looking to stay again xx

Husbands 40th

I booked this property for my husbands 40th birthday. There was 12 family members and 3 dogs who came along for the stay. The cottage Dragonstone was absolutely stunning!! The cottage itself was immaculate, and absolutely everything was catered for. We was short of nothing to make our 4 night stay a home from home trip. The hot tub was a massive hit with everyone. The surrounding views are stunning and walks out with our dogs were a treat. Kathryn the host was brilliant. She had lots of information about the local area. She met us on arrival and went through all the workings of the cottage to make our stay more comfortable. She even left a gift and card for my husband which was a very kind and personal touch. Kathryn always answered my messages when I contacted her via VRBO. Wonderful stay for all of our family and everyone had so much fun making memories. I would highly recommend this holiday rental, and would definitely consider returning in the future. Thank you again to Kathryn for the amazing hospitality.

Perfect Stay!

We stayed here for a couple of nights after our daughters wedding at Craig Yr Nos Castle. What an amazing property, we didn’t want to leave. Dragon Stone is very well equipped with everything you could need and extremely comfortable. The views are breathtaking with amazing sunrises. Kathryn was great with communication and even bought the newly weds a gift. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality we will definitely be returning.

Spectacular Holiday

The property catered for all age groups and was super enjoyed by all 10 guests. The views were stunning, the property was immaculate, well stocked, there was nothing that we needed extra. It was situated in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere, but only a couple of kilometres from a major supermarket. The property owner(s) were kind and courteous. We would definitely recommend this holiday getaway to everyone.

What a view!

Lovely large house great for family get togethers. Superb garden and views. Very well equipped kitchen for the chefs in the group! Easy to access local attractions from this property- waterfall/caves/zip wire etc.

Excellent holiday at Dragonstone

This is an ideal property for a family holiday. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The garden is large and well-maintained with big play areas for children. The area is beautiful and has lots of places of interest such as the National Show Caves. Beaches are easily reached as is the attractive city of Swansea. One travel tip: avoid the Heads of the Valley road as it is being upgraded over a long stretch.

A gem in the mountain!

We booked Dragonstone as a group of 13 and I will without a doubt return to this fantastic property. Kathryn was great with communication, answering questions or general assistance. The property itself is beautifully presented with an abundance of space. Kathryn was so kind with her little touches and even remembered that we were arriving on my daughter's birthday and kindly bought her a gift. We were situated in the centre of stunning beaches, incredible mountainous views and even some great walks to view the three Waterfalls. Overall every single member of the party had nothing but praise for our stay and we cant wait to come back. Our highlight was without a doubt the bubbly hot tub and stunning views....the stuff of dreams when you live in the city. Thank you Kathryn from me and all the family .....especially the kids.

Amazing 4-night stay with family for 2 birthdays

We had the best break at Dragonstone! The house is clean and spacious with stunning views from every window. The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and even left a welcome basket with Welsh cakes and tea bags. As we were celebrating 2 special birthdays, Kathryn even left a card and gift for us both - really kind and so appreciated. The hot tub was a real luxury and the games room (plus a wall of boardgames) was enjoyed by all. Location wise this house is perfect as not too far from Swansea city centre but set against the beautiful brecon views - it has it all. A stay in this holiday home is definitely recommended and we are very keen to come back in the future.

Excellent stay

We had a fantastic stay. The house was amazing, the photos don’t do it justice. I have never been in such a well equipped house. There was everything you could think of and more. The garden was also beautiful and plenty of chairs. The views were beautiful. I would definitely come back to this house and would also highly recommend it. Thank you Kathryn for such a fantastic stay.
