You can live large in the entire upstairs house located directly on the beautiful Greenbrier River. My house in Shaw-mi-del-eca features a 2 bedroom one bath with Jacuzzi tub. Well stocked kitchen for you chefs. A large wrap around deck for late afternoon naps or great cocktail time. Very Private gated community with easy access to Lewisburg known as The Coolest small town in America. A short 4 miles drive to the famous Greenbrier Hotel. Direct TV and wireless internet provided. Marty was a wonderful host. House is amazing. Loved all the plants and decor in the house. Had every thing we needed. Nice peaceful setting on the river. Favorite part was the provided kayaks for exploring the river. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful location.

Great location! We we there for WVSOM graduation and the weather was great. River was rushing right outside the back porch. Marty was great and very accommodating with our Bulldogs. Would definitely visit again if in that area.

Paradise

My cousin and I went for a weekend getaway and to attend the annual Lewisberg Chocolate Festival. Everything in the house was just as described and as it looked in the photos. Actually, more beautiful in person. The views outside were, also, breathtaking. From the wildlife to the river and the vast view from the the property. It was so secluded relaxing. Marty and her best friend Tawana (she hosted us for this weekend)were so accommodating and understanding. Did not want to leave! Will definitely try to book Marty's house again if we return to Caldwell. Thanks, Marty!

Lovely River House

Beautiful place on the Greenbrier River! This home is so comfortable and interesting, coupled with the amazing scenery, outdoor opportunities and the quaint historic town of Lewisburg and the Greenbrier Resort will provide you with a near perfect vacation! Marty is an amazing host, you could literally walk in the door and be set for the rest of your stay. I have to admit, with everything the area has going for it, my favorite thing about our stay was sitting on the porch looking out over the river!

Great escape!

We stayed here for a wedding at the Greenbrier. Better price, great view, it was great! Amazing alternative if you want to save some money and have a more relaxed and secluded stay!

Lovely Home and Owner

This is a lovely home in a private gated community. Sitting on the covered deck in the evening and watching the fire-flies over the river was a delight. The two bedrooms have memory-foam mattresses which are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. The owner, Marty, was very friendly and helpful. We defiantly enjoyed our time there.

Very nice home in a beautiful area

We had a great time at Marty’s home. It is very interesting with lots of decor from various places and cultures. We were comfortable and the house is very well stocked. We would stay here again. Communication with Marty was very easy and she is quick to respond.

I wish I lived here

Beautiful home - it has an amazing view of the river with a covered porch to sit on. The home is at the end of a secluded, private woodsy area, so no through traffic and lots of wildlife. The interior is gorgeous, filled with art and antiques, plus meticulously cared for plants and a wonderful jacuzzi tub. You can kayak right outside the door. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Superb location for biking and kayaking

The home is wonderful, and Marty is very kind and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The leaves were gorgeous this fall. We kayaked and biked. The Greenbrier River Trail is spectacular. And the kitchen is very well appointed for cooking meals. The firepit was our evening venue!

Warm and Friendly home away from home located right on the Greenbrier River

This gated small community home was perfect for our stay in West Virginia. It's located close to lots of State Parks and local outdoor attractions. Huge porch around two sides of the home adds lots of outdoor living space. Would recommend to family and friends. Owner has lots of conveniences to use during your stay to make your stay stressless.

Beautiful and convenient location

The property was extremely clean and well stocked. The stars and Milky Way were very visible almost every night. The hummingbirds were a joy. Our only sad thing is that we didn't get to meet Marty who seems like a very well traveled and well read lady.

I have been here at this beautiful location only 8 years. I'm an artist and have my studio located on the ground floor. I live and work here with my Chihuahua Lovey and my 2 cats who live on ground level in my studio.

Why they chose this property

This place is so beautiful, serene, and peaceful. It is a very small community consisting of only 13 houses. I have lived in this area for over 25 years and moved from WSS to Lewisburg area to be on the river. My best friend lives nearby and we both like spending time on and near the river. My porch is equipped with a swing and comfortable chairs for lounging. Recently added corn hole, and a hammock. Come enjoy the hummingbirds, they are here until the end of September.

What makes this property unique

I'm nestles in Caldwell between Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs, I have 4 kayaks available for paddling down the Greenbrier River in a channel that leads to the only dam on the Greenbrier river. A quick 1 hour adventure right from my front porch. Email me for updates and availability. I'm only 1 miles away from a great walking trail. Shop in downtown Lewisburg. There is 2 live theaters and a cinema 8 close by. Can't miss touring thru the famous Greenbrier Hotel resort located 4 miles from my house. 10 minute drive.
