It's a fantastic walking area with miles of trails to discover. The West Compton and North Wootton trail, for example, is an easy 7.5-mile walk that explores the Mendip Hills' southern border. The famed Glastonbury town, which hosts ancient and mediaeval ruins as well as the renowned Glastonbury Music Festival, is close by. Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, and Chalice Well are all worth seeing while you're here.
