About this property

Cosy Dog Friendly 18th Century Barn, Hot Tub

Peibio is a beautiful traditional stone-built barn which underwent a stunning conversion in 2019 and has been transformed into a fantastic family holiday cottage, nestled in the peaceful Anglesey countryside and situated within easy reach of all of the Island's many attractions.
It retains many of it's original features and strikes the perfect balance between rustic and rural, and modern, cosy and comfortable.
There is a large, family kitchen with vaulted ceiling amongst it's many original features.
There are 3 guest bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so there should never be any queues to get ready for your daily adventures around the stunning island, all finished to a high standard.
Peibio also has access to a spacious hot tub in its own walled outdoor area which is also complete with private BBQ, pizza oven and seating/dining arrangement.
In the living room there is a third shower room just off the main area and a wood-burning stove for those cosy evenings after a day spent enjoying all that Anglesey and North Wales/Snowdon has to offer.
Llanfair Hall is situated just outside of the Newborough (Niwbwrch) area of outstanding natural beauty and as such we are within the area designated as a dark skies zone, meaning we have minimal light pollution blocking your views of the night sky. On a clear night, you can clearly see the Milky Way in all it's glory which makes for the views from the hot tub which are 'out of this world'.

We are situated in a designated low light pollution area, meaning that you will be able to see all that the night sky has to offer. You can sit back and relax in the hot tub, blanketed by the Milky Way, and enjoy the stunning views with loved ones.

Relaxing family holiday

Piebio is very spacious and comfortable. A large kitchen dinner was great for family meals. An enclosed garden allowed for our daughter and the dog to play safely.

Lovely barn. Hot tub didn't get hot enough. Communication was poor throughout. No soap in the place. Towels the size of flannels. Just really sloppy stuff. But the place was clean and nice and we had a good time

A really lovely stay at the barn for a 21st birthday weekend

The barn was spotlessly clean and really spacious for a family of 5. The big kitchen area was a great space to have meals and play games. The family enjoyed using the hot tub and pizza oven after a walk on the beach.

Great weekend away with family.

Good communication and value for money. The barn was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great space for 6 people - comfy beds and super clean bathrooms. Loved the hot tub!

The most stunning location and perfect accommodation.

The space and decor in Piebio Barn was perfect for our family, we really felt like this could be our home and was so comfortable. The location was perfect for what we were wanting to explore. We absolutely will be recommending this to all of our friends and family and hope to be visiting you again soon. Thank you for your hospitality.

Just right

No complaints apart from a few teething problems ,we couldn’t get the spa bath to work or the towel rails in the toilets . The only other thing was a slightly better form lighting around the hot tub

Comfortable and Relaxing!

Plenty of space for 5 adults and 2 small dogs. Barn had been converted very sympathetically and was tastefully furnished. Lovely quiet location with parking for our 2 cars. EV charging point available.

Lovely place

Great barn conversion with a HUGE kitchen you enter into. Very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Well furnished throughout, and although a few very minor niggles (high up cobwebs, fire back loose and a problem with a door) it was a superb place to stay. Would definitely love to stay again - although it is a bit on the pricy side!

3 night stay

Excellent accommodation. Easy access to lots of activities for a 3 year old. Each of the bedrooms is separate from the rest, two up two separate flights of stairs at each end of the barn. Could be difficult for family with small children. Lovely location surrounded by fields.

Lovely place, so spacious

My wife, our 4 children and border collie had a great stay. Loved having so much space and the place was well-equipped. Our youngest particularly loved the bath with the jets. Staff we met were friendly and helpful. Great location as quiet and out of the way but only a short drive to shops, walks etc. We will be back, with friends and without kids hopefully next time!

General upkeep and cleanliness

Nice property. Unfortunately there were a few things not right - 1. None of the towel rail radiators in all the bathrooms worked. 2. The jacuzzi wasn't working 3. The shower in the upstairs bathroom was burning hot so was unusable. 4. The shower in the downstairs bathroom leaked. 5. There was no door handle on the internal door between the kitchen and lounge. 6. There was no pole to reach the velux windows or blinds in the lounge and downstairs bathroom. My friend actually stood on the poole table and stretched up with a poole cue to close the blind. 7.The floors in the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs en-suite were filthy. 8. The general cleanliness was very poor. 9. There was no brush or dustpan and brush do we couldn't sweep things behind ourselves or just s quick brush before leaving. 10. All the books and games were all very messy and all over the place.

Appalling service from the owner

This was booked for myself and my 85yr old mother, her last trip at the end stage of her life. She was born nearby and has one living friend still there. In under an hour of making the booking, she took seriously ill and I immediately tried to cancel { after help attended}. I'm aware of the cancellation policy. Everything was ignored. VRBO have and are, doing their best to make contact with the owners and find out why they have ignored me and if' they will return some of the money. Let's face it, if they'd done what they say on their link, they should have responded to my message about my mothers illness and could have done this, then re advertised in under an hour at no loss to anyone. Instead they chose to do nothing and have seen this as an easy opportunity to make a lot of cash. I stupidly ignored the other people who had written similar issues with failed contact. I won't be doing it again

Not the relaxing getaway we expected

We weren’t sent the key code prior to entry and had to chase the property managers for this. Thankfully, they were very quick to respond, which is about the only positive we can attribute to this property. Upon arrival, we saw that the property was not very clean, there were stains on the table cloth, mould in the shower, body hairs left from previous guests in one of the bathrooms, spiders and cobwebs all over the place. There were only two very small towels provided, no hand towels in any of the bathrooms and one toilet roll per bathroom. The cutlery was mismatched and minimal. The fridge wasn’t working upon arrival, we unpacked our food and contacted the property manager, who sent their maintenance man out and this was fixed promptly but our food had spoiled. We had wanted to make breakfast but there was no frying pan provided, again, very minimal kitchenware. The outside area was full of litter, including cigarette butts and discarded food items, which was hazardous for our two dogs. We reported this to the property manager and the fact that the recycling bin was full. The litter and recycling bin were removed but this left us unable to recycle our refuse. The jets in both the hot tub and jacuzzi bath didn’t work, nor did the en-suite shower upstairs, it was only scalding hot. The pizza oven and BBQ were filthy and unusable. To top it off, a burst water main left us without water from 8pm until the following morning. Very expensive for such a poorly-maintained property.
