Wonderful Italian holiday

We are a family group ranging from 17-93 years and 2 dogs. We were well looked after by the owners, who were very kind, asking how our 93 year old mum was getting on and giving tips about driving her to the pool area. The property was lovely-huge old stone walls. Well equipped kitchen, including fans in every room and the owners were very responsive to requests to replace 2 fans that were not working. The front door opens out to the road but this is not busy. One of our dogs was happy lying by the door watching the world go by! The pool area was wonderful with a great sized pool and plentiful loungers. It’s a very steep hill to the pool area, but fine for able bodied people. Once there, the toilets and changing area and fridge/freezer meant that you could stay for a while. The outside eating area was beautiful and kept very clean and tidy. The only downside for us was that it was an unusually very hot 2 weeks and therefore the sleeping areas were very hot, even with fans. However the downstairs living areas were much cooler due to the very thick walls. The village is beautiful with spectacular views over the countryside. We ate at the gorgeous Da Clara restaurant a couple of evenings and also got takeaway pizzas which were great! We also attended a wonderful classical concert in the village. We visited Siena, Florence and Volterra, as well as local markets in Castelnuevo and Pomerance. A wonderful stay! Highly recommended.

One week in Montecastelli

Great plage, fantastic House in beautiful surroundings and setting. The Poolarea with good facilities is great also for large groups. The garden with the pergola is wonderful to enjoy dinner with a few view. Only the dogs barking in the night can be annoying.

Beau séjour

Très agréable séjour dans ce magnifique petit village très bien restauré Pizzeria toute proche et très bonne Maison très fonctionnelle et très propre . La tonnelle de vignes est très agréable pour le déjeuner et dîner La piscine est bien close et en contre bas La vie se déroule sur 3 niveaux Peu de voitures passantes L’accueil et le départ était parfaits Départ pour randonnées pédestres et tour de vélo Merci Marianne

Très bon séjour en Toscane dans cette propriété de village

Très grande maison en plein centre du petit village de Montecastelli Pisano. Point de vue panoramique. Grande cuisine + autres petites kitchenettes disponibles. Chambres telles qu'indiqué dans l'annonce. On ne se marche pas dessus. Différents frigos mis à disposition dans la cuisine principale ou dans les étages pour la capacité de la maison. Hôtes accueillants, disponibles et accomodants. Très agréable à notre arrivée pour répondre à nos questions vu la taille de la maison ! Quelques points d'attention: - pas de jardin en tant que tel - Une grande salle à manger de jardin en contrebas de la maison (à 10 mètres de la cuisine principale). - La piscine est à 50/100 mètres en-dessous de la maison et est accessible avec des clés distinctes. Pas de possibilité simple de diner et profiter de la piscine en même temps. Bien qu'un frigo ait été mis à disposition près de la piscine au début de notre séjour (un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur gentillesse), nous n'avions pas compris cette contrainte dans l'annonce d'Abritel. - Pas mal de nuisances sonores le jour et la nuit causées par des chiens (dont un chénil).

Unterkunft nicht genau beschrieben aber trotzdem schön

Tolles Haus, sauber, sehr freundlich. Für kleine Kinder durch die vielen Treppe leider gefährlich. Der Garten ist nicht direkt am Haus, sonder über eine befahrene Straße unten. Zur Sehenswürdigkeiten, Meer leider länger als 1 Stunde fahrt.

Soggiorno rilassante nelle colline toscane

La casa è molto pulita, con spazi ampi e perfetti per gruppi. La cucina era fornita di tutto il necessario evitando quindi di doversi portare stoviglie da casa. La zona patio esterna perfetta per mangiare all’aperto. Zona piscina molto bella e curata, unica pecca la distanza dalla struttura centrale.

Un très bon accueil et une maison au delà de nos espérances. Un lieu reposant avec des millions de visites possible en famille dans un paysage paisible et un périmètre de 30 km. Piscine superbe, pergola très agréable pour le barbecue. Bref une très bonne adresse !

Schönes Haus mit toller Poolanlage in einem ruhigem Bergdorf.

Lage: Das Haus steht in Montecastelli, einem sehr urigem kleinem Bergdorf in der Toscana. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ca. 15 Min. entfernt. Optimal für Ruhe Suchende. Haus: Das Haus ist sehr schön typisch italienisch eingerichtet. Es ist sehr sauber. Die tolle Poolanlage ist auf einem angrenzenden Grundstück angeordnet und problemlos erreichbar.

The villa was wonderful and very well equipped but it would be nice to have a land line telephone

The owners were great people and although never knew much English we were able to communicate. We were a group of 12 and the Villa was beautiful and well equipped but a land line telephone for emergency situations would be nice. We were unable to use our cell phones for calling but did have wifi but sometimes very weak reception. My wife had an accident and broke her leg and it was very difficult making contact with people without phone service. The pool area was beautiful but there are many steps to get to it so you want to be in great shape. The restaurant in the village is only a short walk and the owners and their daughter Sara were amazing. Sara was a huge help in getting medical attention for us and in translating for us she was an angel and not sure what we would have done without her. Overall a beautiful place in a small village in Tuscany and we had a great stay until the accident.

A beautiful house in a quiet and relaxing location.

I enjoyed a week in Montecastelli Pisano with my partner and 4 generations of her family to celebrate a birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer property or more beautiful location. We really felt like we were part of the village and local area. The house itself was very well equipped, spacious and very clean. The pictures do not do the house and gardens justice. The pool area was fantastic and we spent many days relaxing by the pool and enjoying the gardens. As we were a large group we had several cars and there was plenty of off road parking for us all. The hosts were very attentive and friendly and made us feel right at home, even bringing us a tiramisu as a gift, which was delicious. The neighbours and village as a whole were friendly and welcoming with the local restaurant serving excellent wine and food. We even had the pleasure of attending a concert as part of the local chamber music festival which for me, as a music teacher, was a highlight. The property is ideally located to reach Siena and Florence for day trips and also close enough to spend a day at the beach. Driving from Pisa airport was easy and it was quick to get to local towns to stock up on supplies. Something to consider depending on your group is that there are quite a few steps to get to the pool area, however, as there are toilets and other facilities by the pool we found we could stay down there for the day. I would highly recommend the property and the location for anybody wanting a quiet, relaxing holiday where you get a true taste of Tuscan life.

Impressive house in quaint Italian village

I booked this property to celebrate my birthday with a large group of friends. We were not disappointed. The property was exactly as advertised. The bedrooms were all of a decent size and the living areas could comfortably accommodate a large group of people. The swimming pool was clean and beautifully kept, with toilet and shower. Only downside here was the walk back up to the house, very steep but none of us minded as it was probably the only exercise we had! There were also plenty of sunbeds. The best part though was the outside eating area. A large table under vines and surrounded by lavender, roses and geranium's. There was a fantastic brick built barbeque and lighting. It was here that we enjoyed my birthday celebration. The agent for the house suggested he could arrange for some local woman to come to the house and cook for us. This we did and I can report that the meal was amazing and I would highly recommend to any future guests. The local restaurant/bar was very good with lovely staff. Sara could speak good English so there were no communication problems. The owners of the house were a lovely couple and Tatiana who spoke very good English was extremely helpful and charming. They even brought pastries for us all on my birthday. There was one problem though that I have to mention. I booked this house through Owner's Direct. On their website it stated that towels and linen were provided (no mention of a charge), also no mention of this on my rental agreement. However, when we were leaving, we were presented with a bill for the linen and towels. Please be wary of this as it slightly spoilt things as an argument ensued. I believe the charges were on some website advertising the property but not on Owners Direct. All in all though we had a brilliant time and would highly recommend this property

Boendet (hus, tomt/pergola och poolområde) var separerade och är därför inte lämpligt om du har fysiska begränsningar eller för mindre barn. Det sagt mycket god standard på allt och mycket charmigt och vi var mycket nöjda! Byn hade dessutom en mycket trevlig restaurang.

Très chouette villa, tres belle et agréable ! Mais

rien a redire la villa est superbe, tant le bâtiment que les aménagements, les proprios tres sympas, le village très chouette, la piscine paradisiaque et la grande table et le barbecue très agréables surtout en grde chaleur !!! Pq uniquement 3 étoiles me direz vous alors?? ben simplement parce que entre d'une part la villa, d'autre part la table ombragée et le coin barbec et d'autre part encore le coin piscine qui est réellement a couper le souffle: il y a une route: oui vous avez bien compris, ces 3 entités sont séparées physiquementil y a une petite route entre la villa et un coin repas qui est dans un enclos entre trois routes et encore une descente a faire sur qqes mètre d’asphalte de cette route avant d'arriver au dessus de la série de marche qui conduisent au coin piscine (avec douche, sanitaire, coin lounge....) voila le gros handicape de ce tres bel endroit dans ce village convivial...mais ça ne nous a pas empêcher de passer du très bon temps...

Una vacanza favolosa .

Questa e` la prima volta che abbiamo prenotato questa casa e speriamo che non e` l`ultima.Siami trovati bene . La casa e` veremente bellae comoda per grande compania, si trova in una posizione decisamente comoda , proprio nell cuoro di Toscana. Abbiamo visitato Pisa , Firenze,Siena,Voltera,San-Gimignano,Montepulciano, Montalcino ,Pienza . I proprietarii sono persone estremamente gentili e disponibili.

Beautiful Tuscan retreat

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the beautiful Monte Castelli. The villa itself is comfortable and spacious and is situated in an amazing position overlooking the Chianti hills. The infinity pool and jacuzzi are spectacular and make the climb down the steps to reach them worthwhile! We couldn't wait to return to cool off after a morning of sightseeing in Siena or wine tasting at one of the local wineries. The owner of the villa is very friendly and cooked a wonderful 8-course meal for us (at a very reasonable cost including wine it is to be recommended!) and it was great to eat local Tuscan cuisine under the grape vines. We all agreed to return to Monte Castelli very soon and would highly recommend it if you want a taste of the real Italy.
