This truly lovely property sits directly opposite the beautiful views of the water and enjoys a quiet position within the heart of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is almost impossible to capture in words the feel of this place, the peace and quiet that is only interrupted by the gentle sounds of boats making their way along the river or the cries of the wildlife that live in abundance here. A retreat from all the stresses and strains of modern life.
The owners have poured love into this charming cottage, ensuring that it is furnished to the same high standard as their own home, neither scrimping on style, comfort or expense. The ground floor boasts a stylish, but calming living room with a contemporary, built-in wood burner and a separate dining room, both of which have views across the broads. The well-equipped kitchen and a contemporary shower room are also on the ground floor and face on to the back garden, with its impressive patio and garden furniture. On the first floor, you will find a twin bedroom and a double room with a kingsize bed both boasting high quality beds and mattresses for that all important good night’s sleep, along with a bathroom. Outdoor lovers can choose to sit in the front garden and enjoy views of the Broads or the lovely space at the rear, which offers private seating and dining.
There are walks galore from the doorstep but make sure you wake up to see the sun rise over the water and get home in time to enjoy a sunset from the Malthouse rear garden as you won’t be disappointed! Venture a little further and you will find yourself close to the popular village of Wroxham, considered by many to be the gateway to the Broads. Here you can join a river tour or shop till you drop at the world’s biggest village store. Families will also find BeWILDerwood nearby too and whatever your age, you should find time to take a trip on Bure Valley Railway across open Norfolk countryside to the bustling market town of Aylsham. You will also be delighted to find that you are only twelve miles from the stunning coastline where you will find a wide range of coastal delights including promenades, a pier, grassy sand dunes, wide sand and shingle beaches, salt and clay marshes and picturesque quays. You will also be pleased to find the area littered with great places to eat, whatever your tastes or pockets. After a busy day sightseeing, you get to return to the riverside idyll that is Malthouse Cottage. You will leave a piece of your heart here. But don’t worry. You are sure to be back for it! Beach 12 miles. Pub and restaurant 352 yards.
