About this property
The Hayloft, Felbrigg, Norfolk
Located in the village of Felbrigg, The Hayloft is a superbly luxurious barn conversation, and oh so very comfortable. With four beautiful en-suite bedrooms to tempt you, and plenty of living space, this hideaway is the ultimate stylish destination for couples, friends and families searching for a tranquil spot within easy reach of stunning beaches, picturesque seaside towns and grand country houses.
Converted in 2020, this former detached hayloft retains traditional brick and flint exteriors, updated with cedar weather boarding. The character continues on the inside of the property with beams, vaulted ceilings and an occasional exposed flint feature wall. Otherwise, it is slap bang up-to-date with all the expected conveniences of modern living. As you enter the front door you arrive into a welcoming entrance hall/ boot room. Just the place to cast off outerwear and wet gear to change into soft soles. The next door sociable open-plan living space is magnificently flooded with light pouring in from full length doors on either side. A well-equipped kitchen boasting top of the range appliances combines with an adjacent dining area with seating for eight guests. A snug seating area is situated at the far end of the room, where sofas and armchairs gather around one of the three Sky enabled televisions. Through the door, the main sitting room is a joyfully sublime relaxing area with a large L-shaped sumptuously deep sofa, a wood burning stove that ramps up the cosy factor when ignited, and boasts views of the gardens to both sides through full length doors. A handy cloakroom and next door utility room off the entrance hall complete the ground floor. Upstairs on the first floor are four beautifully presented bedrooms that run along the top floor of the barn. A large master suite hosts a super king-size bed, separate dressing room and en-suite bathroom. Continuing down the hallway, the bedrooms host a double bed, twin beds, and lastly a king-size bedroom at the other end. All the bedrooms are served by smart en-suite bathrooms.
Outside the barn, the large east/ west facing garden, principally laid to lawn, runs from the front to the back where it overlooks adjoining fields. A patio area with garden furniture and gas barbecue sits alongside the barn. A double carport and driveway easily accommodate up to six cars. The Hayloft sits in a small hamlet of converted barns on the edge of the pretty village of Felbrigg. The National Trust's Felbrigg Hall is located just up the road and the charming coastal town of Cromer is a mere ten minute drive away.
The Burnham Market International Horse Trials usually take place over a long weekend in late March or early April at Sussex Farm, where Lavender Cottage is situated. Please check local information for more details if you would like to stay at the property over this exciting weekend. A free entry pass is usually provided to allow you enjoy the event, which is accessible from the garden gate. Because of the size of the event there may be some noise disturbance and additional vehicular and pedestrian activity in the immediate vicinity.
