This ancient historical house was just breathtaking.
It’s hard to describe living in such a place, even for only a week. Thick stone walls, massive wooden beams, a stone staircase into the cellar—it was an amazing experience. Given all that, the kitchen was modern, the bathrooms were modern, there was access to WiFi and a sound system throughout.
Meghan responded to all our questions and introduced us to friends in the neighborhood, and they in turn invited us to meet with other neighbors in town. Such a pleasant place to stay.
We arrived in France on March 14, 2020 and the very next day, due to Covid-19, a lock down was implemented! We discussed returning home to Canada immediately, but decided to ride it out for a while and re-evaluate in a week. At the end of the day, we spent 3 and a half months in Lauzerte. My partner and two stepchildren had an incredible time despite the lock down. My stepdaughter turned 19 years of age in Lauzerte and it was pretty incredible for her. The house was large enough and well situated so that we all had our space. The terrace was beautiful and perfect for sunbathing for hours each day! The property manager, Jonny, was attentive, personable and only a phone call away. Anything we needed was immediately and professionally tended to by Jonny and he always had a smile and laugh for us! We ultimately met quite a few Lauzertians and have made a few lasting friendships. We loved the experience sooo much that we are already planning a 3 month stay next Spring! This is a magical property and village and we highly recommend it!

Perfect for a weekend away
Absolutely beautiful and very well equipped house for a weekend away in the rural sound of France. The surrounding landscape is stunning and dotted with lovely little villages. Lauzerte itself is very pretty and the town square is only a short walk away. The house is extremely spacious and the roof terrace a delight. Highly recommended.
