Ca’ Nal is a palazzo dating from the 18th century located in the very heart of Venice, the Marzarie, only a few steps from the Rialto and San Marco and the historic Bareteri bridge. Five luxurious apartments each with its own unique character: original antique Venetian terrazzo floors, original wooden beamed ceilings and exceptional views. The living area is spacious, bright, and furnished with style and elegance. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms are well equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and comfort. A complete renovation took place in the spring of 2015, combining a typical Venetian style with prestigious finishes and every comfort in order to make your Venetian experience truly unforgettable.

Family of 6 with ski gear on tow. Luggage came late and Alberta made sure it got into the building. Stairs and steep and real..be forewarned. Also in the middle of the bustle which is great if that’s what you want. Quiet at night.
This apartment was in a perfect location and the rooms were spacious. It was also quiet and check in was very helpful and informative. Thank you for a lovely stay!
GREAT location, central to everywhere we wanted to visit. With three bedrooms (with splitable beds), the layout was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. AC worked great in all rooms. Lovely views from the 3rd floor and the stairs weren't terrible - just need to pack light! Alberta was wonderfully accommodating to our slightly early check-in and slightly late check out (we were able to meet her and store our bags while cleaners were there). We would stay there again!
Wow it’s so much prettier than the pictures! Stayed with our children and everyone loved it. Alberta was so lovely and the location is right near restaurants and shops and gondolas. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
Place was very nice and clean, Alberta met us right at our water taxi and walked us to the apartment. Steps were tough but it worked. The location was perfect and central to everything we wanted to see and do. Not really much canal view unless you hung out the window. The second bathroom has no storage or counter and is very tiny, that was only negative
Stayed here for 2 nights for a post cruise stay. Alberta met us at the canal and walked us right in to our apartment style unit. She was very helpful and kind. The place was so clean, well stocked and safe! Great location for getting around Venice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment in the center of everything in Venice. There are loads of shops and restaurants nearby, and the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square are just a few minutes’ walk. The apartment is well furnished and spotlessly clean. Alberta was wonderful and met us at a nearby water taxi dock, then escorted us to the apartment and gave us a very thorough briefing. We couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. The only proviso would be for people with mobility issues. The apartment is located up a few flights of stairs, and the bedroom with the ensuite bath requires climbing some narrow, steep stairs. We had no problem with it at all, but something to think about depending on your mobility.

The apartment was beautiful and the proprietor was very hospitable. The stairs within the building were tight and a little tricky with larger bags and the unit is up several floors. However, without bags in tow, usual journeys were not an issue.
The apartment is located in a great place within Venice, within a short walk of most major attractions and the vaporetto system is nearby as well.
We had a great stay. Property was really nice, authentic, and the location was awesome. You can watch the gondolas go by from the windows and there are endless places to eat nearby.
Alberta couldn’t have been more helpful. All round just a great stay. There are a lot of stairs so not ideal for everyone, but if that’s not a problem for you, then I highly recommend.
The place was amazing and the host was outstanding. I will request the same place when I go back. We had a nice leg workout going up and down the stairs but that was part of the fun. The views out the windows were unbelievable and the location was right in the heart of Venice. 5 Stars!
This apartment was amazing!! It’s has the old Venetian charm with high wooden beam ceilings, antique furnishings, wooden shutters; but yet, 2 beautiful modern, marble bathrooms. So clean and stocked with kitchen supplies and toiletries.
Looking out the windows at the gondolas in the canal was fascinating! The location is perfect to everywhere you want to go. Many restaurants and shops were in every direction of the apartment. Alberthe hostesss,
This apt was perfect for our time in Venice. So clean and comfortable beds. Convenient location (3 minute walk to Rialto bridge). AC and washing machine was nice to have. Alberta was great to work with and helped arrange water taxi transportation to the airport for us. Felt at home while we were away from home. No elevator, but we didn’t mind all the steps after eating so much Gelato. Teenagers approved the apartment and location as well (which is saying a lot).
We totally loved this spacious, immaculate , 3 bedroom apartment with our 3 granddaughters! It has old Venetian charm with its high ceilings, beautiful wooden beams and antiques. If you are looking for an apartment with views of gondolas on the canal, shops and restaurants all around, a 3 min walk to St. Mark’s Square and the famous Rialto Bridge, don’t look any further, this is your place to stay! Alberta was a gracious host. She met us as we arrived and took us to the apartment explaining so much about the area. This property helped make our visit to Venice spectacular!! And yes, it’s the apartment on the top floor, but the steps set the mood of the style, plus we made it fun and great exercise!
They warn you about the steps. Take that seriously! Its alot! That being said, the place is great. We had 4 women traveling, more than enough room. Living room really just sits 4 but who is hanging out at the house? It was clean, spacious, and Alberta was great. We really appreciated her meeting us off the waterbus and getting us there and showing us around.
We took our 4 kids, ages 11-17 and we all loved this place. Alberta met us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the place. She knew we would want the large room and separated the beds in the other rooms for the kids. She kept in touch with us prior to our visit which made check in a breeze! Place was very clean and they laid out a towel set for each person on our beds. Nice touch! Central to Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square, minutes walk to each. Also surrounded by shopping and numerous dining, gelato, pizza and pastry options.
Ok. This place is on the top floor and you have to walk 3 flights of stairs but none of us had any problem, not even the kids! But trust me, the steps are worth it. Also, we had a view of the canal from our window.
Would highly recommend and we will be staying here when we return!

Wonderful Apartment in Venice
Our family - 6 of us total, 4 kids (3 teens) - stayed in the Sandolo apartment during our recent visit to Venice. There was plenty of space for all of us, each kid had their own bed, and there was room for us to eat together at the kitchen table or gather in the family room. We loved the location, very central and the views from the windows were wonderful. It is a corner apartment so we could watch the gondolas go by from one set of windows, and enjoy another view from the other set. The walk to the fourth floor was easy - and the stairwell had an airy feeling. We loved the quiet of the apartment while still being in a busy section of town. With the windows open you could enjoy the crowd noise below, or close the windows and enjoy the quiet. The windows provided great soundproofing to the noise. The rooms were big, and the historical feel of the building with the floors and wooden beams was amazing! Our host, Alberta, was wonderful as well. She took the time to get us situated and showed us maps, answered our questions (of which we had many). If we ever have the opportunity to visit Venice again, we will be sure to book this apartment! Thank you Alberta for a wonderful stay and your hospitality.
This location was spacious, absolutely stunning, and easily accommodated 6 guests. The location was very central in a shopping area, and overlooks a canal and bridges. It was very picturesque to throw open the windows every morning and see all the colorful buildings and people walking by. Bedrooms had plenty of space and the kitchen / common area were also great to have a rest and mingle. Once you navigate the little ally ways, you can find yourself at the Saint Marks Square, the local grocery store, coffee shop, gelato shop, and our new favorite restaurant, "TRATTORIA ALLA SCALA" (get the crab pasta, you'll thank me later!!) We ate here 3 times, it was an absolute delight and the staff are just wonderful! I would highly recommend an evening stroll to explore the bars when the tourist and shoppers quiet down. The only real challenge of this place is the 4 flight of stairs you must climb to get to this apartment, so pack light if you can! But the view from the top floor is so worth it! I felt like I was in a storybook. An amazing stay and sweet host, I would book and stay again!
Our family of four had a great stay at this flat. Excellent location with short walks to Rialto and St. Marks Square. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Alberta helped me find a local guide to arrange our airport transfer to steps away from the flat and a private tour of Venice. Very responsive communication and onsite support.
The Sandolo flat is at the top of the Palazzo and there are several flights of stairs to deal with, so do consider that. If your group can handle that, this is a great option in Venice. A plus to this location is that you can walk from St. Mark's to the flat without crossing a canal or bridge - this is a big benefit if you need to walk to/from the flat with your suitcases from the St. Marks Alilaguna shuttle stop.
We had amazing trip to Venice! Our host was always responsive, and met us personally for the check-in process. The apartment is even larger in person than in the picture with plenty of space for our family of 5. The air conditioning was an absolute must in the heat of the summer. The location was perfect, about equal distance from Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s square. We could easily walk to any of the major sites and also board a water taxi to go anywhere we wanted to go in Venice as well as the islands. I highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again!
To be clear- this is a lovely property in a great location. The host met us and walked us there, great size for the 5 of us, nice kitchen and washer. It’s very pretty with a lovely view. But I must have missed the part about 3 flights of stairs because getting suitcases up it was a nightmare. Also the 3rd bedroom is up more stairs — very easy for us but not for everyone. The hostess helped us with scheduling our water taxis and was very responsive. I’m sure it’s my fault that I didn’t realize it’s on the 3rd floor. Make sure you ask what specific apartment you are renting because the photos represent multiple units. We didn’t have access to the rooftop that is the main photo. Location was great. Wi-Fi works but isn’t amazing (but it’s Venice). Overall if you don’t mind many many stairs it’s wonderful and the hostess is lovely!
