A piece of paradise
After two years in a pandemic Mullins Beach house was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. The house was good, but the property and location were second to none. This was our fourth visit to Barbados and by far the loveliest of settings with beautiful grounds and a large pool that was used everyday. The house was very large with lots of room for everyone. Though an older property the house was clean and nicely furnished with lots of bathrooms.. Sometimes when we’ve rented a house some staples are included but there weren’t any however we had ordered arrival groceries which worked well. We had Sophie cook a meal for us which was delicious. Sarah is a great host and provided a lot of helpful information. We do hope to return one day!!

A Fantastic Family Holiday
Like most Photos they never do somewhere justice and that applies to Mullins House it's absolutely beautiful, the house itself has a rustic charm everything you will need and more, but the main area is outside, the Veranda to sit on and enjoy meal times, the wonderful garden with its pool are exceptional,a marvellous place to relax,if like us you have children with you they will absolutely love it,so much space for them, with the daily bonus of green monkeys visiting most days. The House is well placed for the west coast, in our opinion give the nearest beach Mullins a miss better beaches just down th Road Gibbs&thunder bay both excellent.Andrew and Oneta who look after the house are very helpful answering any questions you ask,Andrew also cooks a mean mac and cheese pie, the best we've had. This has been our third time on this wonderful island and now know our way about, but for anybody who hasn't been Sarah and Simon's Information pack you get while at home is invaluable, its second to none, the home drawn road maps with places to visit with all restaurants, shops, beaches supermarkets ,fish markets would make your stay so much easier, unlike the first time we came . Sarah also arranged Taxi on arrival another job you don't need making it all the more pleasurable.Without doubt Mullins Bay House will be a place my family will return in near future one of our best holidays

Excellent property for family holiday
Great property, well equipped with beautiful gardens and a great deck and pool plus close to the beach. Great location on the West Coast. Fantastic service from the owners. Highly recommended.

A true gem - don’t stay anywhere else !
Set within a quiet residential area but only a few minutes walk to beach . Main coast road has buses that run constantly up and down the West coast so exploring is easy . House combines an easy ,authentic ,family style with excellent facilities including efficient air conditioning in all bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. House staff are unobtrusive and attentive and the owners a delight to deal with .Sarah and Simon will provide numerous excellent suggestions if asked - this is their much loved second home and this is very apparent when you stay. Flexibility to holiday with others is a bonus due to the additional garden and pool apartments. Multiple local restaurants - either walking distance or a couple of stops on the bus away . Sunsets are amazing on this west coast - even better when accompanied by a rum sour on one of the west facing beach bars .Would highly recommend the property .

Back yard paradise
My family and I just arrived back from an amazing week in Barbados. Mullins Bay House is a perfect location and welcoming property offering spacious living quarters and a beautiful covered deck. The grounds are lovely and calming as well, where we were treated to numerous visits by the local monkey family. It was great to be steps away from beautiful beaches, restaurants and bars, yet able to retreat to this private property. Sarah and Simon offered wonderful tips and were gracious hosts. I highly recommend a vacation at Mullins Bay. I hope to return soon! Mary from Boston

Paradise!
From the moment we arrived in Barbados our holiday was magical. Mullins Bay House is just perfect. The house, gardens and pool are fantastically equipped and a wonderful oasis on the doorstep of everything Barbados has to offer. The whole place is beautifully maintained by very friendly staff and owners. It is spotlessly clean with great air conditioning. The beautiful Mullins Beach is a 5 minute walk away and perfect for an early morning swim or a huge variety of water sports. Gibbes beach is a little further away but quieter and perfect for relaxing. We managed to explore almost the whole island in a week with the help of Sarah & Simon's (the owners) recommendations, all of which were fantastic. They have a car at the house which is available for rent but also taking the local yellow bus is a must! Fine dining at the Fish Pot and Lonestar, cocktails at the Cliff, local beach fare at Ju Ju's (just as delicious), barbequing locally caught fresh fish at the house on the gas barbeque, a catamaran cruise (complete with swimming with turtles), bodyboarding, paddleboarding and jet skiing were just a few of the activities that filled our week. Mullins Bay House - simply a wonderful place and one that we definitely plan to return to and would recommend to all our family and friends.

Great house - Fab Location
The house is huge with lots of space. Nice and clean and very comfortable beds. The views of the garden from the deck are lovely. It is really quiet and tranquil. Ideal for winding down. The pool is crystal clear and was cleaned 3 times a week. The location is fantastic with Mullins and Gibbs beaches very near by and Speightstown just over a mile away. We loved the Orange Street Deli and Island Plates for lunches. Thanks Sarah for all the other tips as well especially Cariba and the Fishpot - both excellent for dinner. Hope to come again soon as we had such a relaxing time.

Better than we even expected
We spent my 40th birthday at Simon and Sarah's villa with my family. We had a great time in this place. The house, garden and swimming pool are just phenomenal. Just what we needed for a perfectly relaxing holiday. The owners are very organised with instructions, tips on beaches and beaches. They even rent a car if needed, which we used the whole week. The beach is 5 minutes away on foot. Basically just crossing the road down the street. Communication with Simon and Sarah was smooth. We got our deposit back shortly after we came back. One of the best places I have rented for a holiday. Highly recommend it. Christian

Memorable Mullins Bay House
This was a wonderful place to stay. The gardens are huge and very popular with the local monkeys who visited us several times. The house is a very good holiday home with lots of space, nice beds, dining tables inside and out and a choice of gas or charcoal BBQs. Thanks to Andrew and Princess for looking after us and to Simon & Sarah for all the useful info.

Magical family holiday
We were celebrating a special birthday and Mullins Bay House was just right for us. The house is very large and well kept with a nice bog deck looking out over the beautiful gardens and pool. The staff were really helpful and kept the place neat and tidy. We enjoyed unwinding either in the pool or on the two beaches close by at Mullins & Gibbs. Best trip was taking a catamaran cruise and swimming with the turtles. We also went to several of the restaurants recommended by Sarah & Simon. Ju Ju's is very laid back with great fish and we also liked Sea Cat near Holetown. We all had a great time and hope to go again.

Family Get Together
What a wonderful time we had at the Mullins Bay Estate. We rented all the properties on the estate. The place is in a nice location where you a truely had a short walk from the beach. After the beach we relaxed by the pool most evenings. In the afternoons we daily received passing visits from the green monkeys. They loved the mango and avocado trees that are on the property. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. As a family we did the catamaran that Sarah suggested and all the kids had a ball swimming with the turtles and the food and drinks were great. Sarah and Simon were very helpful, and easy to work with with dealing with transactions regarding the house. Thanks Simon and Sarah for a wonderful time.

Our Once In A Lifetime Holiday
We had booked a family (7 adults, including 3 x 20-somethings!) holiday to celebrate Silver Weddings, landmark birthdays etc - and couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to stay. The villa and surroundings are just as magical as the photos promise. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, with a housekeeper and gardener on site to ensure it stayed that way. The housekeeper also made some lovely Bajan food, which was amazing! The beach was just a stroll away, the sea and the sky really are those glorious colours, and Mullins Bay Restaurant is THE best place to go for lunch! The 'youngsters' could get into Holetown on the buses very easily for some nightlife, while the elders had a civilised drink on the verandah. Our problem now is, that it can't be a once in a lifetime holiday, because we all need to go back....now!

A great week's stay in May 2010
We had a highly enjoyable and relaxing week's stay at the delightful Mullins Bay House which is in a quiet spot but only a few minutes walk from the excellent beach which also has a good restaurant. There's an enticing range of other restaurants and bars within a short driving distance. Mullins Bay House has all the amenities you could wish for, we were well looked after, there's a good swimming pool, and evenings sitting out on the verandah overlooking the lush garden were an added pleasure. I can really recommend it and we would happily stay again.

Friends & Family Getaway
Just spent a week at the Mullins Bay House and had an excellent time. The house was great for a mismatched group of couples and singles as we vacaioned together. Proximity to the beach and nearby stores and activities was great. The backyard and pool were really nice after a long day of sightseeing. The support staff at the house were excellent. Will definitely stay at Mullins House again when visiting Barbados in the future.

Great Family Holiday
This was a great holiday home in a lovely setting. We spent most of the time out of doors, either in the pool or on the balcony looking at the beautiful gardens filled with tropical plants. Mullins Beach is really close and perfect for children with lots for them to do. We thought the house was accurately described and found Sarah & Simon very good to deal with. The staff were really helpful and friendly too. Best restaurants: Fish Pot near Speighstown and The Mews in Holetown. The children loved JuJu's beach bar and Chris's Place. Best beaches: Mullins, Heywoods at Speightstown and the Crane on the East Coast. Highly recommended.

Great Place
This is a wonderful place for a group holiday. The location is nice and quiet but convenient for beach, shopping etc. Mullins beach has loungers and a great bar/restaurant but we really liked Gibbs because it was so quiet. The staff are very efficient. We loved all the little touches - it was all so organised and well looked after. We enjoyed good chats round the pool with the other guests. The guides and factsheets we were sent were really useful in pointing us towards some very good restaurants. We will return for sure.
