The Croft is a stylish newly converted barn, finished to a very high standard featuring exposed beams and stonework features. Three bedroom cottage two doubles, one with an en-suite. One twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Beautiful lounge/dining and kitchen area including wood burner. Garden patio area with garden furniture, gas BBQ and outdoor hot tub.. Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges is part of our Wanderwood Lodge Holidays Collection, nestling on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake at the foot of dramatic Skiddaw Mountain. Boasting breathtaking views and bursting with opportunities for outdoor adventure, this idyllic setting is perfect for getting back to nature in one of the Lake District’s most unspoilt beauty spots.
A haven of peace and tranquillity holding the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, these superb lodges boast wonderful walks and cycling right from the doorstep. Stroll the woods, fish the stunning lake (license required Mar 1-Nov 15 ’ 19) or enjoy some private sailing (Mar 31-Oct 31) before shedding your shoes and soaking up the luxury of your own hot tub.
Conquer fells, enjoy the neighbouring 25-acre Wildlife Park or simply explore the lake’s rich heritage of birdlife, fish, shoreside flora and fauna. Keswick’s abundant attractions offer something to everyone just 6 miles away.

The Dower House and The Croft are immediately adjacent to a working farm. The farm can be particularly busy during the spring lambing season.
Office hours :- 8am – 6pm Monday and Friday. 9am – 3pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Saturday. And Sunday 9am – 11am
If you are arriving after 4pm please contact the park office 01768776641 to arrange key collection. Your instructions will be left behind the external green door marked “TELEPHONE” which is located externally down the left side of the reception building when facing it.
You will be required to provide a swipe of your credit or debit card upon arrival as a security deposit. This will be deleted at the end of your stay when your holiday home has been checked.
Hot tub use is strictly from 7am to 10pm only. Please respect other holiday makers and young children - excessive noise will not be tolerated and please be aware that you could run the risk of the tub being turned off. Please note that this applies to hot tub accommodations only.
For group bookings under the age of 25 and same sex parties please contact the park in advance for approval.
We have been advised today that the A591 from Keswick to Bassenthwaite will be closed for 26 days between the hours of 8am-4pm.
This means that ALL holiday clients will need to go round the lake if they are arriving for 3pm. Therefore they will need to follow the A66 heading west. At the end of the average speed section you will find a right hand turning for Castle Inn follow signs for Castle Inn.
Go over the bridge at the top of the lake.
At the crossroads with the Castle Inn on your left turn right. Follow the road (passed the garage Skiddaw Service Station (on left ) and after about 300 yards turn right at the crossroads for Scarness.
Follow the road to the T junction and turn right.
The park is approx. 400 yards on your left.
This most probably going to cause mayhem but thought to get the info off to you so that holiday clients are aware.
Please do not charge electric cars at this park, this is becoming a problem with cables being put through windows etc. The park is not insured for this and it is a fire hazard.
