Stunning property and gardens, excellent facilities, clean and decorated to an extremely high standard. Everything you could need was provided. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely love to return next year. The 5 star review really doesn't do the property justice. An absolutely beautiful find, if you book to stay here you won't be disappointed.
My family and I had an amazing week in the Old Watermill. The property is really special and kitted out beautifully. We had a full range of ages staying and everyone had a great time.
We had no issues during the week, but Sophie was on hand when we had questions and needed help with anything.
Every roomis beautifully appointed and we had a great time cooking in the kitchen, relaxing in the garden and the children loved the den where they could set up and play on their devices.
Bedrooms were very comfortable and there a plenty of facilities, which is useful for a party of 9. We enjoyed visiting Fowey (highly recommend Sam's and the Ship) and Par beach.
Overall - highly recommended.
A place fully suited to our extended family of 9. The magnificent gardens became part of our living quarters when we opened the patio doors. Unusually high temps were encountered for UK but the large opening patio doors allowed circulation of air and an al fresco feel to the kitchen.
The Old Watermill is a beautiful property set in a quiet location but within walking distance to Fowey. The house is well equipped for a large family and everything is very high quality. There is a wide selection of DVDs which came in handy as the weather wasn’t the best during our stay and overall we had a great time. The only downside is the road leading to the property is very narrow which made it difficult sometimes and parking in Fowey is pretty much impossible during the summer months so you need to plan your day carefully. All in all it is a beautiful property and perfect for a large family stay,
Lovely property with superb fixtures & fittings, amazing garden and plenty of relaxing space around the house. In a beautiful quiet location with good walks close by, and yet still close to Fowey town.Fantastic!
Our stay in The Old Watermill was everything we imagined and more!
From the moment we booked, William & Carole’s communication was excellent! Although our original 2020 booking was postponed due to Coronavirus, the owners were extremely helpful and stayed in touch throughout the entire year.
As soon as we pulled on the drive, we knew it was well worth the wait as the house and grounds are simply stunning. It was the perfect place to celebrate an 80th birthday as well as reunite with our family who live overseas in Gibraltar. From the welcome basket to the Jo Malone diffusers; the attention to detail in The Old Watermill is fabulous and you most definitely feel like you are on a luxury UK holiday! The master bedroom is absolutely huge and has beautiful views across the impressive gardens. Additionally, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and has every utensil imaginable! We thoroughly enjoyed having BBQs on the lovely patio and then heading up to the top deck to finish our drinks and catch the last of the evening sun.
With only a 5min drive into Fowey, the location of the house is the perfect base to explore Cornwall.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a spacious, clean and high-quality
A wonderful retreat for a family get together. Spacious accommodation and large garden for the dogs to let off steam.
The owners are very approachable and friendly. Would recommend the Mill to any family who want a quiet retreat with plenty to do in within a short driving distance.
We rented The Old Watermill to celebrate a couple of significant birthdays. From the point of booking communication from vrbo and the owner was excellent. Upon our arrival we were really impressed with the attention to detail throughout the whole house. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome cream tea was a nice surprise. A very pleasant and relaxing week was enjoyed by all.
beautiful house, gorgeous sitting room with log burner and plenty of logs :) kitchen was fab with every utensil you could dream of making family meals a real pleasure :) would definitely recommend!!
A perfect house for a family stay - everything we needed. Great to have downstairs bedroom for my elderly mother - and the master bedroom is huge. The kitchen was ideal for large family meals inside or out on the terrace. Great garden and ponds too. We loved our stay - a great house for exploring the south coast - and only 50 mins from the north coast.
Had an amazing time at the water mill. Very well laid out, stunning house and garden and great location. We were two families with 4 young kids and 2 dogs. The place is well setup and would be suitable for families, just adults and all age ranges.
Very clean and tidy property and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need.
10/10 and highly recommend it.
The property was just as described - luxurious, large, clean and exceptionally well equipped. Beautifully furnished and so well thought through, we absolutely loved it here. The communication from the owners ever since we booked was excellent and the welcome afternoon tea was very much appreciated after our long journey. Beautiful property and it was great to be in the relatively quiet and peaceful town of Fowey versus some of the other much busier towns in Cornwall.
Both the old watermill and the small town of Fowey gave us a wonderful holiday week. The furnishings and environment of the old watermill are top and fowey is a bustling and pretty little town on the Cornwall coast that is not overcrowded.
The communication with the owner of the old watermill was courteous, correct and always punctual.
An amazing property. Ideally situated and very comfortable

Super property in a lovely peaceful setting
We were a party of nine family members (all over 50 years old) and we all enjoyed our time at the Old Watermill. The kitchen was very well equipped (important as we cooked at home each evening) and the bedrooms and bathrooms very clean and confortable. The cottage annexe was cosy and parking was easy. We would certainly recommend the property.

Outstanding
The Old Watermill was an exceptional accommodation for our family of 8 adults and two children with plenty of space, although the kitchen was probably used most of the time, except for sleeping. An extremely well appointed house, including the attached cottage and a wonderful welcome pack of bread, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, scones with jam and cream and flowers that lasted for the whole stay. The area was very quite, and dark, and the living room provided a good view of the firework display from the Fowey Regatta.
Thank you Bill and Carol for letting your lovely house to us

Everything you could want was provided to make our stay memorable our dogs loved the space and the welcome pack got a big woof we all had kitchen envy ! The only thing we found daunting was the approach lane especially the reversing when we met a stroppy white van man .
