Brook Byre is nestled in the picturesque village of Tideswell which is a great base to visit the spa town of Buxton, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton, Hathersage and the Hope Valley.
This recently refurbished 2 bedroomed holiday cottage has a characterful home from home feel with lots of little touches, free Wifi and free parking and a large secure garage for on-site bike storage.
Dog friendly, we charge an additional £20 per dog for the duration of your stay. We can accept up to 2 dogs.
The space
Brook Byre Cottage has everything you need for a lovely holiday or short break in the Peak District. Tastefully designed and with the addition of little touches of comfort and style to help our guests relax and enjoy their time with us.
With great walking and cycling routes from the doorstep and some fantastic pubs and eateries in the village, it's a great base from which to enjoy the countryside and explore the beautiful Peak District National Park.

Brook Byre has the following home comforts:
- 2 spacious double bedrooms, with bedding, the master bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has 3 single beds – all beds are fitted with a high quality mattress and pillows, duvets and mattresses and pillows all have protectors.
- A light and bright family bathroom with shower over the bath, washbasin and WC
- Bath and Hand towels are provided for each guest.
- On the ground floor you will find a large spacious kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needed for a self-catered holiday and has a 1.5 electric oven, a gas hob, dishwasher, a microwave, fridge and an abundance of cookware, pots, pans, crockery, utensils and glassware. There is ample cupboard space for food.
- The living room is located on upstairs to maximise the light and lovely views over the fields – there are 3 stressless reclining leather chairs for comfort and a double leather sofa. The dining area is also upstairs and seats up to six people comfortably – a stock of crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided upstairs.
There is a patio at the side of the house accessible via 3 steps – a comfortable bench is provided so guests can sit out and enjoy the view.
Brook Byre is dog friendly and we can accept 2 dogs comfortably within the property. There is an additional £20 charge per dog , please just let us know if you wish to bring your dog.
Don't forget to bring your bicycles. Take advantage of our free on-site bike storage for up to five bicycles.

I have had a holiday let in Tideswell for over 10 years - excellent reviews and very happy guests. We have now down sized to a smaller cottage which is full of character and charm.
Why they chose this property
This barn once belonged to my Father and he kept his cows in it ! Its a Traditional Derbyshire stone barn in a perfect location.
What makes this property unique
The living room and dining room are upstairs to make the most of the wonderful view over the fields opposite the cottage.
