Snowdrop Cottage - Luxury Accommodation In The Heart Of Derbyshire
Converted in 2012, Cordwell Cottages are set on a working farm on the edge of the Peak District. Cordwell Farm is in the hamlet of Cordwell, only a five minute walk from the friendly local pub and is well located for visiting the Peak District. The cottages have been converted from the old cowshed to an excellent standard, providing luxury accommodation while retaining the original features of the building. The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 4 people so are perfect for families or couples. We have 3 cottages so can sleep 10 people in total (HAUK 11215766 and HAUK 11216806)

Snowdrop Cottage was a great find for us to stay in while revisiting places where Dad rode as a teenager in the 40s. The cottage is part of a renovated farm building. It is spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped. There was the thoughtful addition of essentials: tea, coffee, bread, milk, butter and a bottle of wine ready for us on arrival. We highly recommend a stay here! from Janet
Beautiful farm cottage conversion, all on one level with log burner and dressed for Christmas. A welcome sight on arrival to the farm on a stormy, rainy night. A highlight was seeing the new born calves in the morning. Warm, clean and great facilities.
We stayed for a week in this lovely, bright, spacious cottage. It had everything we needed & was comfortable so we could relax after the stress of day!!
Lovely, peaceful area; close to Sheffield & surrounding areas for some R & R when we had the time! Would happily stay again 😊
Everything about this stay was spectacular!
Amazing cottage. Local pub, the Royal Oak was very close and a favourite watering hole. People in the area made our stay! Very friendly and helpful. Everlasting friendships! We would stay here again! Thank you for an amazing, countryside visit!
Excellent property on an extremely quiet rural working farm. The hosts, the farmer and his wife were very pleasant and warmly welcoming and their advice, including their daughter who looks after the properties and arranges the booking made it so easy and very helpful. There is lots of info supplied in the cottage and an excellent pub that does excellent meals and has an extensive cheese collection is only a few minutes walk away. Had a wonderful time there and highly reccommended
A lovely, homely cottage, well-equipped (apart from lacking a hoover), warm and welcoming. Access/parking confusing at first and not absolutely ideal (steep, concealed, muddy/slippy). Might be tricky in bad weather. Biggest problem is that there is no mobile signal (wasn't mentioned prior to booking), especially if the wifi is unreliable (only worked on first day!) Despite reporting the problem, it wasn't solved and unfortunately proved problematic for our stay. Otherwise a very pleasant and uncomplicated place to stay.

Visited Sheffield area after a 40 year break. Stayed for 3 weeks. Good base to visit all our old haunts. Property generally very good for a short to medium stay.
Clean cottage in a peaceful location. Plenty of walks and activities in the surrounding Peaks so plenty to see and do. Useful supply of tea, coffee and milk on arrival. An enjoyable stay.
Excellent stay for five nights, lovely clean well appointed apartment. Nice touch with the wine in arrival. Lovely farm location with very good public house within walking distance.
Good location for both the white and dark peak.
We will return.
This is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful peaceful countryside location. It is perfectly located to visit the apeak District but also ideally close to the city of Sheffield which was ideal for us when collectibg our son from university - best of both worlds. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend it.

Well equipped accommodation on a working farm. Peaceful and relaxing. Really nice welcome tray on arrival including fresh flowers and Bakewell Pudding! Family extremely friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT
We were visitors from Australia and have used Owners Direct on many, many occasions. This was one of the best places to stay at, and very reasonably priced. It contained everything one needed with an excellent kitchen.
An well situated base to explore the fantastic Peak District with its beautiful countryside for great walks, and visiting stately homes.
We cannot recommend it more highly.
William, the owner was very friendly and helpful with good suggestions
