About this property
The Garden Room - Nature Stay
Forge Cottage is situated in the heart of Alfrick Pound, surrounded by the picturesque Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve. Where you will find orchards, woodpeckers, butterflies, peacocks and many other wildlife and wild flowers.
You will be staying in an outbuilding, adjacent to the main dwelling, which was formerly a Blacksmiths workshop in the 1800's, then converted to a stables and now our lovely home.
We are offering you a stay in our tastefully decorated property within our ample garden.
The space
Your stay will provide you with the opportunity to relax and unwind in a comfortable warm space on the edge of nature in an area of outstanding natural beauty with Breakfast included!
You will be greeted with a treat which you can enjoy looking into half acre garden and see if you can spot the local Buzzards & Red Kites that soar above us or catch a glimpse of a passer by on their horse.
*Breakfast can included for your stay for all guests and can prepared before your arrival. This will typically consist of yoghurt, cereals, pastry and fruit. Further details can be discussed closer to your stay if you inform us of your choice. A continental breakfast is £5 per person per night.
Your stay is located in an outbuilding which is part/ancillary of the main house which means some of the services are found in the main house/garden (Main cooking, washing machine, drying facilities and the garden is shared)
We have tried to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible (which will eliminate bringing some things with you). You can expect to find.

Your main entrance is via a large bi-fold door which leads directly into the living area where you will find a comfy sofa(bed) and Smart TV so you can login to your favourites on all popular streaming services via our fibre WiFi
Leading off the Living room is a dining/office area and some facilities
There is 1 bedroom which contains a king size bed and an en-suite shower room for your enjoyment where fluffy towels are provided, hand towel, toilet tissue and hand soap is provided.
As the sun goes down the garden is plunged into darkness where you can star gaze and listen to the local wildlife residents that surround us (including Bats, Owls, Foxes and Badgers, Rabbits and so much more)

You will have private access to the Garden Room and part access to the house when we are at home.
