About this property

The Pheasantry at Mayen Estate

The Pheasantry is the ideal family getaway, the master bedroom has an uber-comfy kingsize bed, decked with luxury white linens and a snug window seat with an exclusive view of the walled garden. The twin bedroom is a nice size with beautiful natural light coming through the windows – next door you will find the pretty pink bathroom with a large bath, shower cubicle and white fluffy towels. The gorgeous green kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, coffee machine and all the appliances needed to cook up a storm.

In the garden, on one side of the patio, you will find an Ooni pizza oven, a top-of-the-range Kamado BBQ and comfortable garden furniture. At the other end of the patio, you will find the woodfired hot tub, perfect for bathing children whilst also providing a relaxing soak for parents.

Mayen Estate, where the Pheasantry is situated offers a large range of walks around its 700 acres, you can also explore its historic rock gardens, woodlands, many ponds and arboretum. Also on the estate is a beautiful permaculture walled garden, which you can visit during opening hours.

There is much to see and do in the beautiful county of Morayshire:

The Pheasantry just so happens to be perfectly situated at the heart of the Scottish castle trail and so there a certainly no shortage of ancient castles to visit as well as historic fishing villages, country houses and many gardens to explore.

Guide Charters, based in Macduff offer exciting wildlife tours along the Moray Firth where you can see dolphins and seals thriving in their natural habitat.

If you are the adventurous sort, Glenlivet bike trails are a worthwhile visit with the routes ranging from blue to black. These are free to use, just pay for parking – if you cannot bring your own bike there are bikes available for hire at the centre.
