Perfect setting. Cute little cottage and the extra touches make it just like home
The cottage has everything you need and the welcome pack was a great little touch. From booking to check out the process was uncomplicated and communication spot on. The cottage is a great base for exploring the Isle and the views along the roads from the cottage are spectacularly stunning. We were even lucky enough to spot the Aurora from garden! Definitely recommended, because who doesn’t want to stay in the grounds of a castle.

We were very happy with the accomodation at Foresters Cottage
The cottage was clean, well maintained and very homely. We especially liked the little extra things which had been done to make us feel welcome such as putting the lights on for our arrival, and providing us with enough provisions to be able to make a snack and a warm drink as soon as we arrived. Thank you!

Basic but good.
Nice place, absolutely fine base for touring the island. Good facilities, especially kitchen and wifi. The only downside for us was the shower, which was like warm at best and we could t increase this. We could have asked but it wasn’t a big enough deal.

We loved the peace and quiet of the Forester's cottage, which was comfortable and spacious.
We liked having our own place, driveway, spacious children's bedroom, comfortable living room, large kitchen. Complimentary access to Armadale Castle was also nice. Where is the box for what we didn't like?? You need to ask that question also. So here it is: you need better and more accurate directions to the individual accommodation given there is no one to greet you on arrival. Not only did we have difficulty finding our cottage but also we had to help another family find theirs.

A beautiful place but wished we knew ahead of time food would be difficult to come by.
We loved the cottage, the kitchen, sleeping areas and the lovely home feel. We were happy to have a washer and dryer as wel.

At its heart is Armadale Castle, now a romantic ruin, which sits in a dramatic position overlooking the Sound of Sleat. The Castle is surrounded by 40 acres of magnificent gardens, with exotic planting, magnificent trees and charming walks. Also on the estate is the award-winning Museum of the Isles, which tells the story of the Highlands and ; Islands and Clan Donald.
The estate is now run by a charitable trust dedicated to promoting the history and traditions of the clan and the Highlands and Islands. Accommodation guests have unlimited free entry to the Castle, Gardens and Museum during normal opening hours throughout the season of April - October.
