About this property
Tregarnedd Cottage - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Tregarnedd Cottage is situated on a Manor House estate dating all the way back to the 18th Century, and set in over 400 acres of rural Anglesey farmland. Located just a few miles away from Llangefni, the principal county town of the Isle of Anglesey, in the very heart of Ynys Môn. The cottage is a two-bed barn conversion that can sleep up to four people, but is also the perfect getaway for a couple. It provides the perfect opportunity to explore the many beautiful beaches that line the coast or take a walk along the coastal path nearby and across North Wales. Recently converted and renovated to a high standard, the barn is filled with natural light and includes the original, beautiful exposed beams. The two bedrooms - one double and one twin - are perfectly appointed for comfort and convenience. There is a full bathroom, plus a separate WC, a utility area. Downstairs, the spacious kitchen-lounge-diner also has fantastic direct access through French doors to a completely enclosed garden featuring a large stone patio, outdoor furniture, and a gazebo. The cottage has such facilities as a dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, microwave, television, and DVD player which are all provided. There is also garden furniture available to use when the weather is fine. Quality WiFi is also provided, and bedding and towels are supplied. NB. Beach towels are not provided and guests as asked to bring their own. Nearby, the Oriel Ynys Môn, displays collections of artworks by Charles Tunnicliffe and Kyffin Williams, as well as presenting regular exhibitions by both local and international artists showcasing the island's history and wildlife. Being in the middle of the island, the coast is just a short drive in most directions, with sandy beaches or rugged inlets abound, where you can be sure to be on the lookout for one of Angelsey’s 5 remaining working lighthouses, like the one at Penmon Point. Llangefni is Anglesey’s county town and principal administrative centre. It is also a major cultural centre. Visitors who wish to learn about the cultural history of Anglesey can enjoy the Oriel Centre’s History Gallery which gives an introduction to the island’s past through sound, imagery, reconstructions and real artefacts. Oriel Kyffin Williams has a dynamic and changing programme of exhibitions displaying the artists’ work. This ranges from Oriel Ynys Môn’s own collection to paintings and drawings borrowed from institutions and individuals. During the course of the year, the Oriel organises a variety of events – workshops for children and families as well as specialised talks. In the town itself, there are pubs, and cafes, plus a wide variety of shopping facilities. Llangefni also hosts a lively open-air market on both Thursdays and Saturday.
