About this property
Cornloft Cottage, South Creake, Norfolk
Cornloft Cottage is a delightful property, perched overlooking South Creake's picturesque village green. A vivid plump of ducks nest around the little River Burn that runs through this pretty place. Spacious and light-filled, this lovely Norfolk hideaway is ideal for couples and families searching for a relaxing base from which to explore coastal and rural North Norfolk.
Formerly one of the many shops in the village, Cornloft Cottage was converted into a much-loved family holiday home, and enjoyed for many years. Blessed with large rooms throughout, and engulfed with light from the generous windows to the front, the cottage has a lovely airy, natural feel. On the ground floor a large well-equipped country-style fitted kitchen, featuring an electric Aga and inviting dining area, greets you. This opens to an adjoining sitting room furnished with comfortable sofas and an armchair - a lovely place for everyone to gather after a busy day of adventures. Light the wood burning stove when you need some extra warmth on a moody, chilly day. If a quiet space for reading, studying or catching up on emails is required, then tuck yourself away in the study at the other end of the cottage. A bathroom, offering bath and shower option, is situated here too. Upstairs are two attractive bedrooms with high beamed ceilings; a double bedroom with an accompanying en-suite bathroom, and a dual aspect king-size bedroom with use of the shower room on the ground floor. Outside, the cottage has a private and fully-enclosed walled garden, tucked secretly away at the top of the paved parking area. Mostly laid to lawn with an arbour and a beach hut store, it is a lovely haven to escape to on a warm and sunny day.
Stay at Cornloft Cottage and you are perfectly placed to make the most of the outdoors, enjoying Norfolk's big blue skies and vast landscapes. Stroll across the village green and treat yourself to a delicious meal at the highly recommended village gastro pub, The Ostrich. And, if you feel like staying put for the day, Cornloft Cottage is a lovely place to just be.
Additional Information:
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Pillows and duvets are synthetic fibre.
Travel cot and high chair available (please request at point of booking).
