About this property
Large house in the Norfolk Countryside
Fairview House is in the quiet village of Colkirk, only half an hour from Brancaster, Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham and many other picturesque Norfolk beaches.
It’s within walking distance to the local pub and only a 5-minute drive from the closest town. It’s the perfect base for a group of friends or families looking for a quiet location to explore the Norfolk countryside from.
Fairview House is a large and spacious 5 bedroom house with a large open plan kitchen, living, dining room area with bi-folding doors leading out onto a large stone patio with fully equipped BBQ and outdoor seating/dining with a built in fire-pit.
The private driveway behind a lockable gate holds ample parking for large cars.
Large Open Plan Kitchen, Living, Dining Area
Upon entering Fairview House, you will walk into the large open plan modern kitchen, living and dining area.
The impressive kitchen is well equipped, there is a large freestanding range oven, a freestanding dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. We have equipped the kitchen so that large groups of people can easily make their own meals during their stay, if they don’t fancy going out to restaurants to eat.
The dining area has a large 10 seater oak dining table and chairs, it’s perfect for entertaining large groups, so you can all enjoy sharing a meal together and relaxing around the dining table, we also provide a highchair that you can use during your stay.
The living area has a large sofa for you to relax and there is a 43” Smart TV. This living area opens out onto the private patio, which has an outdoor dining set that seats 10 people, the outside dining table also comes with an integrated firepit for those summer nights. On the outdoor patio there is also a BBQ (hybrid Charcoal and Gas) for use during your stay.
We advise that during the winter months you bring along some slippers for your stay as the kitchen floor can get a bit cold.
Utility Room and Downstairs Toilet
The utility room has a washing machine and a tumble dryer, this is ideal for longer stays if you need to do laundry during your stay. There is also a downstairs toilet next to the utility room for convenience.
Snug
There is also a separate living area in the snug, if you wish to spread out a bit during the stay or if the children want to watch something different on the 43" Smart TV or play on the games console/DVD player.
Home Office
There is a separate room, which has a desk and office chair set up if you wish to catch up on some work while you are away.
Bedrooms
There are 5 bedrooms at Fairview House:
Bedroom 1 is a large downstairs bedroom, suited to multi-generational guests due to it being the other end of the house from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and living area. It has a super-king bed which can be made into twin beds if preferred, it has a large wardrobe, bedside tables and a 32” Smart TV.
The rest of the bedrooms are upstairs and Bedroom 2 is the master bedroom which has a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe, bedside tables, a travel cot, this bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower unit.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed with bedside tables, fitted wardrobe, this bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom, there is a sink, toilet and a bath with a shower over the bath.
Bedroom 4 has a double bed, bedside tables and a fitted wardrobe.
Bedroom 5 has two single beds, with bedside tables and a fitted wardrobe.
There is also a large family bathroom upstairs which has a toilet, sink, bath (with shower over the bath) and a separate shower unit.
There are two entrances to the property, one is via the front door (which is the way you will initially access the property via the keysafe), there is also a side door which is the more convenient access when entering the property with luggage/groceries, this entrance is accessed via the driveway.
We also allow dogs at the property, we accept a maximum of 2 small-medium sized well-behaved dogs. We ask that dogs aren’t left alone in the property during your stay (Norfolk is very dog-friendly so most places and restaurants will accept dogs!), we provide a dog hamper with treats for your furry family, as well as a dog crate which is kept in the living area. We ask that dogs are only allowed downstairs at Fairview House and if they do go on the sofas in the living areas, that you put down the dog blankets that we provide for your stay to protect the furniture.

We live in the Norfolk countryside, we enjoy taking our dogs to the Norfolk coast and enjoying everything Norfolk has to offer. We live in the neighbouring village to Fairview House if you have any questions during your stay.
Why they chose this property
Fairview House is a lovely property to stay in, it's large enough to have family get togethers, while still having enough space to spread out around the house. We have spent a lot of time to ensure it is equipped with everything you will need during your stay and it's been decorated to the highest standard.
What makes this property unique
There are 2 separate living areas, as well as a very impressive open-plan kitchen, living, diner. Fairview House is in the Norfolk village of Colkirk, which is only 5 minutes from the nearest town, 20 minutes from the Norfolk coast and Fairview House is only round the corner from the local pub. It also benefits from a private enclosed garden suitable for dogs and outdoor furniture for alfresco dining and a BBQ.
