About the host
Hosted by Andrew Greenwood
Janet and I (Andrew) have lived in Riding Mill for over 20 years and we love the village. We bought the cottage as an established holiday cottage in 2023 on my retirement.
Why they chose this property
Yew Tree Cottage is a Grade 2 Listed building dating back to 1699. It has huge curb appeal and charm.
What makes this property unique
The cottage sits in a beautiful village in the heart of Northumberland. The river Tyne is 100 metres away and there are beautiful walks right out of the door. Fishing is available by permit. Hadrians wall is a 5 minute drive and there are Roman forts and historiic buildings all around. The village pub is only a 5 minute walk down the footpath. It has a welcoming fire, serves food and is very dog friendly There is a train station a 2 minute walk from the cottage which can take you to the Carlisle or Newcastle.
