Ideal for staycations with friends and family, the dog friendly Cottage in Corbridge has everything you could need for a self-catering break.

The Space:
The Cottage in Corbridge has a bright and spacious living room where you can relax with your loved ones. With two sofas and a flat screen Smart TV, it’s the ideal spot to unwind.

Also on the ground floor is the kitchen-diner which is another space flooded with light. Fully equipped, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware so you can prepare meals easily. The dining area comes in the form of a round dining table and matching wooden chairs.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. Spacious and comfortable, the master bedroom benefits from a king size bed, whilst the second is home to a double bed. Both beds benefit from plush bedding and premium bed linens.

The family bathroom includes a bathtub with a handheld shower, WC and wash basin for your convenience.

On the second floor, you’ll find a further bedroom. This bedroom also has a double bed, along with an ensuite bathroom consisting of a shower, wash basin and WC.

Head outside and there is a backyard boasting BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxing in the fresh Northumberland air.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to The Cottage in Corbridge are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle. Additional free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis.

The Neighborhood:
The Cottage in Corbridge is located in the high uplands of Northumberland. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat in the countryside, this is the ideal place. Steeped in history, the village is home to independent shops, restaurants and bars, all of which are within a short walking distance from The Cottage.

Ideal for walkers and cyclists, Corbridge offers access to various beautiful routes nearby, and you’ll find part of the historic Hadrian’s Wall a short distance away.

When in and around Hadrian’s Wall, you can also walk through the Roman town's streets and experience a time-capsule of Roman life. Home to the Corbridge Collection, you can also discover Roman armour and trinkets uncovered with the Corbridge Hoard at the museum. The Hoard was one of the most significant finds in Roman history, providing us with a fascinating insight into the life of a soldier on the Wall.

Corbridge is also just four miles away from the charming town of Hexham which was voted England’s favourite market town by Country Life magazine. With great shopping facilities, local inns, restaurants and a buzzing arts scene, there will be plenty for you to discover. If you’re interested in history, head to Hexham Abbey which dates back to 674. For those who want a fun day out, Hexham has its own racecourse where you can enjoy the races and incredible views of the rolling countryside too.

Corbridge train station is roughly a 15 minute walk away from The Cottage in Corbridge. From here, you’ll have direct rail access into the Hexham and Carlisle in one direction, and Newcastle and the Metrocentre in the other.

Could do with a little work
The property is lovely but I feel it could could do with a little work as some areas look a bit shabby. In particular the shower in the main bathroom and some of the flooring downstairs. The third bedroom on the second floor has a very low ceiling and my father who is around 5 foot 10 banged his head and cut it open. It perhaps needs highlighting on the website, my husband who is 6 foot 3 would not have been able to use this bedroom.

Corbridge Apartment
The home was nice but there were obvious things that would have made our stay much more comfortable and convenient. Minimum towels in bath (two hand towels for 3 bedroom) and kitchen, (only one kitchen towel). Only one dishwasher tablet, one garbage bag, minimal kitchen staples, poorly equipped kitchen
