Terrific location in Islington

Charlie and Eliza were great hosts! Their home is lovely, comfortable and in the perfect location...easy access via the tube to anywhere in London. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again!

Wonderful stay in Islington

My sister and I stayed here on the London leg of our UK trip and it was perfect! Great location with easy access to transportation. Beautiful home with lovely and communicative owners. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Lovely apartment, great location

This was a lovely, comfortable townhouse only a couple of minutes from a tube station. It was well equipped and clean, and communication was excellent. The lovely master suite is a loft conversion, so the staircase is rather steep, but is thoughtfully designed. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect for visiting London

We are 2 couples who found the home to be in a great location for visiting London. The home is very clean and nicely decorated. The owner was accomodating and allowed us to check in early after an overnight flight. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect little gem

Great location. Very easy access to the tube station to see much of London. But quiet enough to sleep at night! Very clean. Hosts were very easy to contact to ask questions.

Excellent Rental

We use rentals quite often, and this was one of our favorites of all time. Beautifully updated. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the tube. The stairs to the en suite on the 3rd floor were a little challenging at first, but we managed. Charlie was a great communicator, and his neighbors were super sweet to help us out with a stubborn door. Our family of four enjoyed this little respite after long days touring the city. Highly recommend!

Perfect place in the Highbury/Islington area

I and a friend had a great time staying at this unique townhouse. It is set up on three floors, with a bathroom on each floor, bedrooms on the 1st and second. The ground floor has a living room and extremely well-appointed kitchen. The place is custom-designed, with stairways, closets etc. that fit the space perfectly. Perfectly clean and inviting. Would definitely stay there again.

A Peaceful London Hideaway

My family of three thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful London flat. My son is a football (soccer) fan and being close to Aresenal Stadium and tube stop was a perfect location. After the hustle and bustle of touring London, it was wonderful to have some respite at this clean, modern and quiet flat. The photos in the listing are 100% accurate and coordinating with the Owner could not have been easier. Its a perfect spot for a family of 3 or 4 and would rate it 10/10 if VRBO let me do so.

Amazing house in a beautiful neighborhood

Everything about this house and our stay was perfect. The house is in a beautiful, leafy, quiet neighborhood, very close to the Underground (Arsenal stop on the Piccadilly Line). It has everything to make your stay enjoyable: a wood-burning stove, which we used a few times, a very well-designed kitchen, and very comfortable beds in the upstairs bedrooms and office (a pull-down bed). There were three of us and it was ample space. Charlie, the host, welcomed us upon our arrival, and made himself available to answer any questions during our stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was an excellent property for our family. Three bedrooms was a must. The place itself was really nice and had a full kitchen. It was easy to get to from Heathrow Airport. The tube went straight from there to the Arsenal stop. The neighborhood seemed safe and quiet. The trade off is limited restaurants and shopping within walking distance, but it was enough. However, being close to the Tube everything in the London core was minutes away. For us this property being really close to the Tube was a plus. If someone wanted to come back during the day then go back to the center of London later it was a breeze.

Perfect location for an Arsenal game

Our main reason for coming to London was to attend an Arsenal game. This location could not have been any better! Short walk from the Stadium as well as from pubs, restaurants, grocery, etc. Also a short walk from the Underground Piccadilly line, which goes directly to city center London and to Heathrow. Charlie was a wonderful host and even left a couple of power adapters for us! One caution would be - the master bedroom is up a very steep and narrow staircase that is more like a ladder than a staircase. Best not to wear socks when going up and down!

I'm a photographer and my wife Eliza is a film and TV producer. We sold our apartment in Berlin just before Brexit and we bought a derelict farm in Somerset so we are spending more time away from London at the moment, me supervising the renovations and she filming a new TV series in Bristol

Why they chose this property

We moved into 58 about ten years ago, renting it from our great friends who live next door. While we were there, we were able to buy 56 and renovate it and then incredibly 54 came up for sale. We were able to persuade some friends to buy it and so all three houses became modernised in the same style. A loft conversion across all three completed the process a few years later.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location. A two minute walk to the tube station and we can go straight to Heathrow, the West End or the City but equally we can walk (or run!) to Finsbury Park and then on to Highgate through paths and woods barely having to cross a road on the way, and excellent local shops just up the hill in Highbury village.
