A nice house, but a terrible area and some issues
On arrival the house was lovely, very cosy, well decorated and furnished. However we soon had some major plumbing issues that unfortunately were never resolved. The bath plug got stuck in the plug hole meaning a bath full of dirty water that couldn't be drained, and so we couldn't use the bath/shower again. We contacted support and a lady did come out, but was unable to resolve the issue. She disappeared saying she was going to get a plumber and then we never saw or heard from her again. Luckily my husband eventually was able to remove the plug but we were then unable to use the bath for the rest of the trip, as the mechanism for raising/lowering the plug was broken, so we were unable to bathe our child. The bath/shower also leaks terribly so the bathroom floor was soaked after every use. The property is described as having a garden on the listing - it doesn't. it has an extremely small yard. This was disappointing as we had a dog with us so there was nowhere for her to roam. The area is also very disappointing. It's a dump, to put it kindly. The 'high street' is just full of empty decaying shops, There is a couple of convenience stores, a coffee shop and chippy, but it is not somewhere nice to explore or go for a walk, be prepared to drive to get to anywhere worth spending time. Also, the provision of some basics would be a nice touch, there was one binbag provided for a weeks stay, one toilet roll, not even any basics such as oil for cooking.

Stunning little place
Gorgeous interior. Very comfortable beds with luxury bedding. Homeley, warm and cosy feeling instantly. The open plan lounge diner was perfect for a romantic night in, with just the lamp and TV on and some nibbles. TV pulls out and rotates so can be watched from anywhere in that room. Great kitchen layout (lots of work top space) with appliances inc washer/dryer, toaster, microwave etc. Bathroom didn't bother us being downstairs and loved having a bubble bath. Very quiet location, we managed to park outside the property but have read reviews where others sometimes struggled, we didn't struggle any day out of 6 nights we stayed. Very accessible to all places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately our dog sadly passed away before the holiday, I'm sure he would have loved it and the dog biscuits in the welcome hamper. Include more than 1 set of towels per person (understand these can be washed and dried, but the washing and drying function took around 4-5hours all together so very long and we didn't want to leave it unattended so ended up waiting around for that to end) More washing powder / pods provided (maybe 3 or 4 instead of 1) we left some we bought for the next person. More cleaning products, to clean the kitchen and bathroom, we had to buy our own as 2 or 3 old bottles under the sink someone must have left behind, with only 2/3 squirts in each. Spray for the kitchen sides, another washing up liquid as this was nearly empty when we arrived, another sponge or 2 for the sink. Bin bags and tin foil (we bought our own) and maybe 2 more tea towels please.

Modernise cottage-
Modern, clean and welcome pack Although parking is possible it is limited and the neighbours insist they have priority. So better to promote the long stay free carpark by the church.

Really nice cottage. New refurbished and nice location.
Stunning little cottage. Really nice of the hosts to provide some welcoming goodies in the basket. Nice location with lots of walks. The parking was fine in the end. We just parked in the car park 3mins walk away for most of the trip, but could unload and load up the car at the start and the end of the trip no problem. Really clean and tidy inside the property. Nice beds and newly refurbished. The bins were not clear in the welcome pack, there did not appear to be any bins for black sack waste. Also, I messaged about having the cat poo cleared out from the patio area, and this was not done... We just had to avoid the patio area for 4 days.
