About this property

Cosy & characterful, yet contemporary home in rural village setting

Experience authentic Irish living in this cosy, characterful 1930s house in the village of Kilfenora in County Clare, famous for traditional music and adjacent to the world famous Burren Region, with its spectacular landscape, and an abundance of flora and fauna. This charming and commodious house with many original features, is suitable for people seeking peace and tranquillity in the Clare countryside and also for families with children, with much to see and do in the locality.
The space
The space is furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard, with careful consideration given to both the practical requirements and relaxation needs of the visitor. The kitchen offers ample space and materials for food preparation, and both the dining room - with it’s long country-house dining table - and living room feature wood-burning stoves, providing ideal space to sit down together and enjoy this endearing home. The area is peaceful and relaxing, and the situation of the house at the edge of this rural village allows easy access to the wild and rugged landscapes that Ireland and in particular the Burren region are famous for, while at the same time having the convenience of being within strolling distance of several authentic pubs, craft shops, grocery shops, a tea room and a spectacular 12th century cathedral.

Wonderful home in a great location

We had a wonderful time while staying at Fiona’s property. The house was clean and perfectly located for morning walks and day trips to neighboring towns! Fiona was available and very communicative if we need anything and we’d stay here again if ever traveling to Ireland in the future!
