Welcome to 9 Riverside in the wonderful town of Sidmouth. Our conveniently located holiday home where you'll find yourself just a mere 220m away from the beach and within easy reach of all amenities in the town. With the added convenience of free private parking and on-street parking options, your stay here promises both comfort and accessibility.
The house is centrally located in a quiet part of town.
Looking out over the river from one bedroom or looking out to sea from another.


Upon entering, the ground floor welcomes you with a spacious lounge and dining area, providing a cozy and inviting space to relax and enjoy meals with your loved ones. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped, offering all the amenities you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay.

Moving up to the first floor, you'll find a king-size room and a double room, both thoughtfully designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. A well-appointed family bathroom is also located on this floor, complete with modern fixtures and fittings.

Ascending to the second floor, you'll discover another king-size room and a twin room. However, please note that there is a low ceiling on this floor, which adds a unique charm to the space but requires careful navigation.

To enhance your stay, we have provided a smart TV and installed Alexa, offering convenient entertainment options and voice-controlled assistance throughout your holiday home experience.

The outside space has a robust picnic bench that seats at least eight people and there is also two traditional deck chairs if you would like to catch some sun in the afternoon.

So whether you're looking to soak up the sun on the nearby beach or explore the vibrant local area, our centrally-located holiday home serves as the perfect base for your adventures. Enjoy the comfort, convenience, and modern amenities that await you in this welcoming retreat.

We are also have very good bus routes to Exeter, Exmouth Beer and Seaton, these have been used by people doing the South West Coastal Path.
We do take same day bookings by request.
A rental agreement will need to be signed by the lead guest.

Quality property in a great location
Staying with our family including 3 year old grandson. Beautifully presented property a couple of minutes away from both the seafront and the shops. Online guide was very helpful and backed up by friendly and attentive owners.

Excellent house in perfect location
The place was immaculate and actually better in person than the pictures. Plenty of room for our family. The house is well stocked with everything you could need for a visit. The location was ideal… a few steps to everything the town has to offer, yet still quiet and peaceful. The owners were a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend staying here.

And so, our adventure began with the charming 1 Chapel Mews, and it has since blossomed to include the delightful 9 Riverside.

Before diving into the world of holiday lets, we took the time to truly immerse ourselves in the local wonders. Wendy found joy in attending pilates classes and embarking on invigorating Nordic walks, while Chris indulged his love for fishing in the picturesque nearby locations. However, as we dedicated ourselves to renovating and revamping 9 Riverside, our days were filled with endless cleaning and painting. The hard work paid off, though, as we transformed it into the perfect haven for your holiday retreat.

We take immense pride in supporting our local community and strive to collaborate with talented tradesmen and local shops whenever possible. By doing so, we not only contribute to the growth of the area but also create a more authentic and immersive experience for our guests. In addition, we have curated a digital guest information system that covers every aspect of the house and the surrounding area, ensuring you have all the information you need right at your fingertips upon booking.

Why they chose this property

The house is in the centre of town, but yet it is quiet. The most common comments we get are that guests have parked their car for the time they are staying and just walked and enjoyed the independent shops, bars and restaurants.
Sidmouth is such a relaxed town, however there are many things to do. We have various music festivals and other events that are very well supported.
Being locals, well almost, we can advise on places to visit and eat as we have tried most of the places. We do have a very comprehensive digital guidebook that you will receive once you book.
