About the host
Hosted by Wendy

I have always enjoyed hosting and am now delighted to welcome guests to Rose Cottage in the historic City of Durham!
I have strong ties to Durham, having always worked within Durham County and now live in the city centre. Durham Cathedral, University and riverside walks have all been enjoyed by myself and my family

Why they chose this property
Rose Cottage is a genuine piece of Durham's fascinating history. Originally a church owned property, the cottage has stood for over 150 years, overlooking what was locally known as The Duckpond (now an attractive grassed area named Gilesgate Green), in the parish of Elvet and Gilesgate.
The property features in numerous photography books depicting life in 'Old Durham', one of which is available in Rose Cottage for guests to browse.
