The cabin itself was used for the ranch workers, so it's not in good shape, the bed was horrible and hard as a rock to sleep on (better off bringing an air mattress and sleeping on the floor), there's a DVD player but it's broken (not that I needed it but just FYI), and if you plan on making it a weekend trip plan on bringing EVERYTHING that you will want during your stay, because I'm sure they'll charge you for an extra roll of toilet paper. They have 3 dogs that make themselves at home in your cabin, and in your bed to. Not kidding, they just jump right on the bed. I do not recommend this place if you have a pet because there are 2 dogs that fight pretty viciously. There's a beautiful pond on the property, but there's a hefty charge just to walk down to the pond and feed the fish. Doesn't matter if you utilize it for 15 min, they're still going to charge you their hefty fee. You also have to share it with the other people that are renting the house or the other cabin on the property, so don't think you're getting a private pond to yourself at the hefty price being charged. The Ranch itself is beautiful, but I'm going to give this a hard pass on ever returning. Instead of Lonesome Winds Ranch, it should be called Hustler's Ranch.
